homebrew morphine

Might be that there's a workable end-game in sight for us to take care of ourselves in the privacy of our own homes. 
I was bored & googled "how to make morphine" out of curiosity.  Not knowledgeable in chemistry, just curious what i might be able to understand.  A few articles popped up on scientists implanting yeast with dna from the poppy & getting the yeast to produce opiates or at least precursors.  Darn interesting.

I read this awhile ago. Interesting yes but very complex. Where heroin manufacture is relatively simple. Pbs kids .com told ya step by step how to make heroin base. Hilarious at least to me

Yeah, theres also articles out there that suggest that they can alter tocacco so that morphine is produced as well as nicotine. Also theres articles stating that scientists found out how to make the human body creatr morhpine naturally thru a 7 step process. They say thats what the future of pain management will become.
