Help for METH users to trial in Sydney (lisdexamphetamine)

I just read the paper and they are recruiting 180 Ice users to trial (a little fucking late but ...) with the expectation that they can high dose users and maintain them with this harder-to-abuse Lysine+DexAmphetamine combo.

thinking of signing up unless they have punitive and/or unrealistic dosing protocols.

i think that they are listening to people like me (Delusions of Grandeur, that's my only illness 😋)

I used to go to a 'done clinic in Little Rock, AR that did alot of research for UAMS (Univ of Ark Medical Sciences) and I remember them having a sign at the clinic and ads on the radio for the same exact thing. They were gonna do a trial of giving meth users vyvanse as a maintenance med to see how it affected their use, etc..

I also remember them doing a trial for that drug they show on TV now that's used for opiate induced constipation (naloxogel?) like a yr or two before I started seeing commercials for it. The 'done clinic there sucked (couldn't go above 60 or 65 mgs if on legit rx'd benzos. couldn't go above like 80 mgs if not on benzos) but they did alot of cool research at that place.

so they rang me about joining the trial.

they put you on 120 mg then a week later, 180 mg of the treatment (yay, i'm in, methought).

BUT there is no way i can keep appointments due to work requirements.

looks like it's back to using Meth and all the ugly legal and acquisition crap that comes with it.

i reckon i would be perfect for the trial but they miss out (uber tweaker, in my mind ) due to prohibitive requirements.

i am a bit upset but i gave it a go.

what are the requirements for staying in the study/trial?

well, the conversation stopped at my working hours although i did write back later to tell them that maybe i can do this as i have 1-3 weekdays off a week.

i really sold myself in my last correspondence.

they still won't take you if you are on Methadone.

I will keep you posted if and when i know more.
