Police warning after dangerous drug found at V Festival

Staffordshire Police say they had discovered Pentylone^Wiki and N-ethpentylone being sold at the Weston Park event, which takes place this weekend.

The drug, which has previously been discovered at other music festivals, has previously led to patients requiring urgent medical attention.

The effects of the drug include agitation, nausea, insomnia, hypothermia and vomiting.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman warned people to avoid buying drugs and to alert security if they were offered any.

He said: "We have seized and tested a serious drug on site (Pentylone and N-ethpentylone).

"Likely to be sold as MDMA but it is actually a different substance and an extremely dangerous drug.
