Esoteric Anhydride he bonded out that's how he posting on here... I thought the same thing at first

Guts Griffin  that's the way it supposedly goes here, I thought it was bullshit till I got bonded out with a measly $10K bond, $1K to walk, my pops paid it as I was all fucked up at the time. I figured I'd be fine, as I didn't have a job, so I'd get a PD.

The way they played it was so fucked up, they said "you're not eligible for a PD, but if you wish, we can take the money you've already paid for bond, and include a court finders fee and appoint you an attorney", and of course the judge says something like "and we happen to have this PRIVATE attorney right here, that is willing to take your case, for the $1K less court finder fee", and of course, the judge didn't tell me if the charges we dismissed on no probable cause or not, just that I needed an attorney, said he'd either give me a continuance to find my own, or I could sign over the bond $$,

Literally as soon as I signed over the bond $$, the lawyer walks up to the judges secretary, hands her some paperwork, looks at the judge and nods, and the judge calls my case within 5 mins, full court room there by the way, and I get up there, court paid "private" attorney next to me, and judge says "no probable cause, case dismissed"

I was like "awesome" but then I realized that was striaght THE FUCK UP extortion, I mean, had I not signed over that $$, I'd probably had to face the charges, but since I did , and the court got their "finder fee" they dismissed them. I was walking out and honestly it was one of the few times I've ever experienced the "white people get treated better" scenario in the legal system, I mean, had I been one of the many poor african american people that were sitting in that courtroom, I'd probably been fucked, but this time money LITERALLY bought my charges being dropped.

crazy. corrupt, disgusting.

DiCaprio theSWPK  that's good advice, I think you're going to be just fine on this and it may get tossed out for no probable cause, don't go out and hire an atty just yet, wait and see what the court does, plead with the judge that you have no $$ for a lawyer, let him know that you need a PD. See if he bites, you may have to prove your lack of income though, so be ready to do so. If he won't do it, then take it one step at a time, maybe go online and take dicaprio's advice and get an atty's opinion without having to pay a retainer of $1K (usually that's what you're looking at for a missy charge retainer)

most of all, I think you'll be fine. Don't trip.

Wait... how's that work dizzle? If you sign over your bond money (you paid the 10%, right?), then do you go back to jail? I mean, you don't get that 10% back either way...

I've seen that first hand too Dizzle... In one thought you think to yourself "hell yes" and the next thought is "goddamn this is a fucking corrupt system"... And that's all there really is to say about that.

Money fixes A LOT of issues... Legal and otherwise.

Completely fucked, but AMERICA!

Also completely unrelated, just making a comment about the extortion type bullshit. talked about it on opiophile, but i'm wondering if anyone here has dealt with it, soo in the neighborhood of profiting off others fuckups. Anyone dealt with those "busted" papers? that come out like each week full of errboddyys mugshot and charges?
The one and only time i was arrested due to a years old contempt of court over some traffic bullshit of course my face was in that shit. Theres a phone number on each page that you can call to have your shit removed, and once you call there is a one time low cost fee of like 500 motherfucking dollars. But since the paper has already been printed.. your shit is only removed from their online publications. Obviously not from county websites or other places. but just from theirs. I wonder if people pay
How fucked is that?

Hey guys, I'm grateful for all the replies and discussions. At the moment I've got some seriously shitty cotton fever, but I'll be getting some replies in later tonight If I can stop shaking.

I got the cotton fever from a brand new filter from a harm reduction kit I got in the mail yesterday.

well, swpk? what's the deal yo?

it's kinda fucked up and you're going to think I'm nuts, but I think sometimes we have premonitions for this shit.

Like SWPK you JUST said "I need to get out of here before the law catches up with me", like, you knew it was going to happen.

I remember twice, before I got arrested I had very clear warnings form some inexplicable thing. One of the times, I was on a bus on my way to Home Depot to steal shit and return it for $$ with receipts I found in the parking lot, and this older man walks up to me, looks me straight in the eyes and simply says, "you don't have to do it, you'll be ok", it was the weirdest thing ever. He just said that and looked me dead in the eyes, put his hands together and repeated himself. Then he walked away.

Sure enough that day the home depot people were waiting on me, they knew me and the whole thing exploded, roughly 1 hour after that dude said that to me. There's another story of a similar thing happening to me prior to getting arrested but I don't have time now. Bottom line, go with your gut, if something feels off, it is.

Plead guilty.
In MS, they don't provide an attorney unless its a felony case. I didn't have the money for one.

In a display unlike anything I've ever witnessed, the judge called me a drug addict, said i look like I do a lot of drugs, made me show my teeth to him, and told me in front of the court room to stop lying to my family. Never have I been more humiliated.

The arresting officer stood there boring holes in me with his eyes, smugly smiling.

He went the fuck OFF on me! I was the best dressed in the court room of people in pajamas. Dude that went before me was nodding so hard he couldn't stand and the judge joked with him. The fuck?

I had $100 of $400 for the fine, but he said it wasn't enough and that I'd be in detention for awhile, but decided just to let me go on payment.

I owe close to five thousand dollars to this fuckawful state.

This shit has had me really down lately.

That is so fucked, glad you got off without anytime but you shouldn't of had to deal with any of this shit. I fucking hate judges they are up there with corrupt powertripping cops to me. Some of them seriously get off on fucking people over for life, I can't stand it, you sign a plea bargain and the judge decides to fuck you because he doesn't like you or some shit and lets someone else go with the exact same charges. Its all bullshit im sorry swpk, do you have any probation was it a dui?

He seriously had no right to say any of that personal shit, you can give reasons for why you sentence someone that way, but only from a public safety perspective its one thing to say that I think if I let you off you will do drugs and get in the car and potentially hurt someone and its a whole nother thing to say your a junkie, liar, show me your teeth and play some fucking holier than thou fuckhole who is trying to humiliate you and bring up shit that has nothing do with public safety.

I could bitch about the problems of the criminal justice system all day it's disgusting the way we judge people and fuck people over constantly over bs it makes my blood boil, and more than likely that asshole judge has driven drunk plenty of times and not got caught or let go and probably does more shit to hurt other people than 99% of the people he locks in cages. I mean seriously how can these assholes just willy nilly ruin peoples lives on a daily basis heartless fucks, they should have to do prison time before they can sentence someone to it. rehabilitation>punishment

No dui, I was a passenger in a vehicle of which a search revealed someone else's syringes.

I'm on "probation" where I just pay a fine and get treated like shit by CIVILIAN 3rd party "probation officers".

It's a company called Judicial Correctional Services.

damn its hard for me to even fathom that, what a fucking cockgoblin judge you should ask your dentist for a paper saying you have shitty enamel and then sue that fuckstain judge for defamation of character or some shit, I really hope karma shows up in the form of the judge getting life in prison at the worst prison in the state and that the biggest cock in the state punks him on a thrice daily basis.

This shit has had me really down lately.

If the possible penalty carries six months imprisonment or more (and/or a fine of $1000+ IIRC, not that it matters), the Sixth Amendment requires the appointment of counsel to indigent defendants.  Under that, it's up to the states.  One of those shitty things most people don't know

What a piece of shit judge.  But that behavior is sadly all too common; you'd be amazed what sitting up high in a robe passing judgment on the lives of strangers every day will do to a person.
