Aside from being in the house, they had nothing trying me to anything illegal. Also, the gang unit "recently accidentally destroyed the photos."

Just like the Arlington County police "destroyed" a beloved .44 mag revolver that they took from me in a DUI traffic stop. Those photos are still around somewhere.

What? They don't have electronic backups? What is this the 1970's all over again? They just lost the password or the thumb drive or something.

PG cops are the worst.  The only thing they're good at is killing peoples' dogs for no reason.  A couple of years ago they killed the two dogs of the mayor of a town in PGC (Riverdale?).  A neighbor was having reefer shipments sent to his (the mayor's) address during the day when he wasn't there and grabbing them off his porch right after delivery.  So what do the PGC cops do?  Send in a 12 man SWAT team and machine gun every pet in the house before saying a word to the mayor.  It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic and predictable and didn't happen 5 times a year every goddamn year.
What really sucks (aside from the poor pooches) is that they get away with this shit  99.9% of the time.

Another reason why, even if stuck with "Public Pretender," to put up as much as a fight as you can. Don't plea to anything they can't prove, or stipulate to anything incriminating, make them go through all discovery, produce actual evidence that has been verified and held in an unbroken chain of custody. 

Prosecutors have had it too easy for too long. They don't know what to do when a defendant and lawyer dig in their heels and say "NO." I know this is harder to do when you are miserable, stuck in custody but in the long run you are better off. People get stuck in never-ending probation where they get violated over nothing becasue they just wanted to get out of the courtroom and accepted a plea.
