I think Oz should take a real close look at how well prohibition has worked for the US and our meth issues.

Treating it like a health problem, and thorough education are IMO MUCH better strategies than criminalizing people (great idea, lock them up with other tweakers with nothing to do but learn how to cook dope). Prohibition just simply does not work, just like it didn't work in the US for EtOH. All that happens is more health problems and too many people in jail for the wrong reasons.

It's human nature for people to want to manipulate consciousness. Telling people they can't get high is like telling people they can't fuck each other - shit ain't gonna fly, ever. The best way to deal is EDUCATION, straight up. Incarceration isn't the solution, and really it just creates a bunch more problems..

Even countries like Saudi Arabia and Indonesia that kill drug dealers, end up having to kill people every year. Pretty much proves prohibition doesn't work.

it's MADNESS - no matter what they do, until they address demand (good luck with one, HA!) then nothing will change.

they will never be able to stop access to the drug because too many people with influence and power, actually WANT the drug.

therein lies the problem - this ain't no Quaaludes ...

Methamphetamine is just too popular and the users love it. i mean LOVE it ! i know it's not popular amongst most of us but that doesn't change the facts.

i have a good view of the way the drug is traded and can see how popular it is and it's not going away.
