Judges and DA's doing prison time

What do you think about the idea that Judge's and DA's should have to do 6 months to a year of prison time before being able to hold those positions or any amount of time of a prison term. I mean they are sending people into prison left and right and filling up all the prisons nation wide and have no idea of what conditons in prisons are actually like. Mass Incarceration is going on throughout all of the United States and is getting worse. I think Judges should have to experience what they are sending people into before being able to slam the gavel especially on so many non-violent offender cases where they are getting loads of prison time. I also think that Correction officers, the disciplinary board, or wardens should have to endure some time in isolation, getting the same treatment as a prisoner before being able to send someone to ad-seg. Obviously they have to have discipline for the prisoners who are hurting other inmates and guards, and are constantly breaking rules that endanger other inmates and staff. I think that solitary confinement can make people worse and is such a harsh punishment that it should only be used in extreme cases but there is such a huge gray area for this because so many people in prison break rules and there needs to be discipline in order to keep everyone safe but I thought I would bring it up after reading about Judge Joe Brown complaining about all he had to go through in his 5 days in jail. Anyone ever thought of this or have opinions on it?

Yeah I think that will not ever happen now or ever....., no judge or da is going to go to the pokey for a learning experience. 

But I like that you're even thinking about this shit. There's something very wrong with our system and our government.  I just recently started looking at this movement. I don't have an opinion on it yet but check it out...

Yeah there is no way this would happen but was wondering what people thought of the idea like pros and cons of it. Its like trying to make all people in congress, the senate, and the president have a max salary of the annual median income for american families. There is no way that rich people would allow us to touch there pockets or have the same laws and precedents as the normal americans. I think it is a good idea not one that would happen now with the way things are but do you think it would make a difference on how judges sentenced people and how DA's prosecuted and did their plea deal bargaining?

St. Theresa I have never heard of that movement either but from just reading a few lines off the front page it looks like a good idea and it is definitely something I will check out, thanks for posting it.

As in anything in life, follow the money and see who it enriches and you'll understand why it's used and expanded time and time again.

Youd probably be pretty close if you guessed about what would happen if you took one of those to the chest. Trying to take in all the things that happen to a person while their locked up and guess about that is probly lot harder.

I can guess what would happen to some people in prison compared to other people. So the argument is pointless. 

Edit. Not pointless but we all get the picture.  Judges and dick head da's would maybe think twice about sentencing people to jail time if they knew what it was all about.

I didnt say you couldnt guess. I said you would probably be farther off than if you were to guess about a much simpler scenario.
