How to Smoke Meth Properly When Using a Torch/Jet Lighter with your Glass Pipe

Intro:
Many people struggle with the basics of heating their Meth rapidly (for quick and efficient ingestion), without burning it, and that once included myself ... until I eventually perfected the best technique, which i am sharing with you below ...

Objective:`
This document provides general harm-reduction information aimed at reducing the risk of inhaling burnt matter, burns, cuts, and other injuries associated with handling glass pipes. It does not encourage or endorse drug use but if your choice is to use then at least do it properly, and reduce harm and wastage by inhaling a cool product, as hot vapor will damage your lungs and good meth isn't to be burnt/wasted.

It also explains how to avoid burning your meth.

Meth Burning (Wastage) Prevention

Now I recommend using a Torch Lighter (or a "jetty" or a Jet Lighter, as us Aussies call them) so follow my instructions carefully:

1. Drop about 100mg of meth into the middle of your clean pipe's "bowl".
2. Now in gentle rotating motion, encircle the area around the meth, sucking in gently (the right way is evenly but so you can't hear yourself sucking), being careful to avoid heating directly under the meth itself.
3. Keep gently encircling in a steady motion until the meth melts into a pool of oil. 
4. (Some people prefer to keep twisting the pipe gently to keep the pool of oil moving but it is not essential.)
5. Then immediately withdraw the torch ot turn off the heat and keep sucking in as deep as you can or want until all the vapour is used up.
6. You may then (immediately) exhale - there is no need to hold it in as transcapillary exchange is almost immediate.
7. Wait for the meth to resolidify (we call this "Crackback") and cool down a bit before your next puff.

Note: if you do this properly then you won't be left with black residue when your meth is all vapourised but some batches of meth will always leave such a mark, despite all your best efforts.

Try to keep the crackback as colourless (not yellow) as possible.

NB: NEVER LET YOUR METH GET SO HOT SO THAT IT BOILS ! - that is the worst thing that you could do as it weakens your meth and makes it taste horrible.

Handling Glass Safely

Always have a safe, stable designated flat area, on some tissue paper, to be able to set your pipe down for whatever reason and whenever, immediately or otherwise.

Try to avoid tilting or tipping your pipe if the meth is still molten, and set down gently.

Recognizing Injuries

Never touch the bowl or the lower end of the stem just after having heated it for a puff ! If you burn yourself then place your garden under some cold running water for a while - fortunately such burns are usually superficial and are of little consequence.

When to Seek Medical Care

You probably don't need to worry about this but you will know by the amount of pain you are in.
