Gang Stalking and Targeted Individuals: Delusional Conspiracy Theories OR Conspiracy Facts?

(Underground Knowledge — A discussion group discussion)

Gang stalking, according to my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll rewrite this), is utilizing methods of harassment with mostly high tech or even classified tech (e.g. mind control) to remotely assault the "targeted individual" to the point where they begin to go insane. Results could be something like hearing voices in their heads.

A few examples I've noticed in the media that might fit the definition here might be as follows (all of which can influence the mind or sanity in the targeted individual):

Microwave weapon now strongly suspected in mystery attacks on US diplomats in China, Cuba.

DOCTORS and scientists increasingly suspect attacks with unconventional sonic weapons are at the centre of a creeping war on US foreign diplomats.

China has developed a long-range pain gun that works by shooting microwaves into people’s bodies and heating up water under their skin, according to reports, and might plan to fit it onto its ships or for crowd control.

The gun, known as a Poly WB-1, works by projecting a man-sized miliimetre beam onto the body, which heats water molecules just under the skin and causes intense pain. The gun is non-lethal and doesn’t seem to cause lasting harm — a point the US government tried to make repeatedly amid criticism of a similar weapon it developed, which it demonstrated by shooting a reporter with one.

But gang stalking seems to be much more than those examples, according to those who claim to be targeted individuals.

Many claim it is classified mind control technologies that are being utilized as per the following NY Times article which reports "The group was organized around the conviction that its members are victims of a sprawling conspiracy to harass thousands of everyday Americans with mind-control weapons and armies of so-called gang stalkers. The goal, as one gang-stalking website put it, is “to destroy every aspect of a targeted individual’s life.

See this NY Times 2016 article  (note that the NY Times put a spin on this to state or at least strongly imply all those who claim to be on the receiving end of these methods are delusional or insane individuals)

The Nightmare World of Gang Stalking

More than 10,000 people worldwide claim they're the victims of a vast organized surveillance effort designed to ruin their lives, a phenomenon known as "gang stalking." Mental health experts see gang stalking as a symptom of paranoia, but the self-identified victims who insist what they're experiencing is real have come together online and in support groups to share their stories.

VICE met up with a handful of Americans who claim their lives have been derailed by gang stalking to understand what serious consequences the phenomenon presents. Then we hear from Dr. Josh Bazell, one of many physicians who believes the victims of gang stalking are experiencing dangerous delusions that could be treated by mental health professionals.
