Spam Email from Dopetalk?

So I got an email today from webmaster@forum.drugs-and-users.org that was spam, it came in the same as all my other notifications for messages and such under the name dopetalk so I figured it was a message notification but this is what it said.

 You get the best for less! ( we shall make you offers you won't get anywhere
else ). Do business with me for SAFETY, LEGITIMACY and DISCREET. Our clients
are to us like FAMILY! So we treat them like ROYALTY. Don't hesitate to
contact and place your order through text or email, as they say ( TIME
WAITS FOR NO ONE ) . It Will be our pleasure to do business with you.

I have removed all his crap.

Just delete the email or PM -- that applies to anyone that got that stupid mail. I don't know if he compromised the mail server or just pasted a bunch at random.

for the record, guys, people can spoof the headers on an email, make it look like it came from somewhere else.

Griffin or Catsfordrugs, can you contact me? I'll walk you through how to send me the email so I can look at the headers to see if it came from our mailserver or if someone just spoofed the caller id part of the email.

@dizzle, I checked the headers and the following is the resolution:

The emails came from the site via the New Topic First Post Announcement facility - silly me allowed Announcements to be enabled for Regular members and this has now been fixed.

Thank you to a certain member for their help on this matter.

That makes sense I was worried the sites email got hacked or something which is why I brought it up, thx chipper for looking into it and getting back to me so quickly!

No problem. I had help with the clues and found something I had overlooked so our email server has not been compromised but we probably will still have fools that try to peddle their bullshit.

I thank all those that reported spam and wish the best for our site.
