Propylene Glycol to dissolve benzos ?
« on: June 26, 2016, 08:48:55 PM »
My friend does this - is it dangerous?

He shoots his benzos this way but I can't  try it due to no veins plus it worries me.

I ate quite a bit of flubromazolam dissolved in PG over a six month period with no problems. I've never tried banging the stuff, it's kind of thick for that and I couldn't find a vein with both hands and a flashlight.

Is it possible to make a suspension for the shot? I have idiot friends that inject alprazolam, which isn't water soluble, but get effects from the shot.

I don't know the effects of injecting PG, but I feel like the suspension would be a better idea. Imagine missing a little PG, would your absorb it or would it encapsulate and become infected?

Found a post in another indigo light forum. A guy had been injecting several benzoate that are insoluble in water by using a PG solution for months and he seems fine. The stuff he had was already dissolved in a PG solution by a vendor. I'll keep looking around though.

Some of these people are adding a little water to help with the viscosity (goopyness).

Not all benzos are gonna have the same solubility properties. Just cos one thing might dissolve in some solvent, doesn't mean something else will dissolve in the same solvent, just cos it's classed as a benzo.

Propylene glycol is fairly polar I think, so it should dissolve in water fine (which is what we're made of..), IOW, it itself shouldn't cause an abscess.

He's been shooting Etiz.

still alive and also seems fine but his tendency to be brave is a worry.

Thanks for your input.

Yes, I've done this before, of course. Adding some water to make the solution less syrupy helps, and works fine. I don't think there's any problem with this because pharm. IV benzo preparations employ propylene glycol as the solvent (like IV diazepam, for example).

I've also used 91% isopropyl alcohol as the solvent, and then added some water to it afterwards. That was shooting zaleplon (Sonata). That seems to be fine too as long as you're not using more than, say, 1ml of iPrOH and DON'T MISS! (talk about painful). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I'm just saying I've done it before and I'm still kicking.

A suspension for IV use is NOT a good idea because that means there are solid particles suspended in the liquid, which have the potential to agglomerate and cause emboli (blockages) in the veins.
