^^ I hadn't thought of it that way, but possibly?  I just like not having to switch back & forth between sent/received etc. I find it a lot more user-friendly (just my opinion)

It works really well - super user-friendly.   I was having trouble seeing/finding my sent messages.  I don't use the message system a lot, but when I do... I like to see my sent messages and then the receiver's responses all in the same place; like a thread. 

Set it up like Chipper says in the first post.   And I guess it's like an IM in that you'll get a notification up top when someone messages you, although you don't actually see the content of the message until you click on it.

again, if you see some functionality in Opiophile's forum software then ask me if i can find something suitable and install it.

like multi-quote - i liked that feature but only the very latest SMF beta is running it.

If Fat Pie isn't multi quoting already he's doing something very similar

It's how I always used to do it on the 'phile since I could never get the multi quote system to work right. lol

Are you sure about that?  Multi-quoting works for me.

When you are replying to a post, scroll down a little bit and you'll see "Insert Quote" on the top right side of each previous post in the thread.  If you click that, it will insert that post as a quote into wherever your cursor is in the reply box.

yes, it does create the quote but ONLY 1, for me ... i'd like to be able to quote from multiple sources in one go.

LATER: I think i am wrong about this - thanks, i had been doing the wrong thing.
