So my third suboxone appt is tomorrow at 10:00am.  I was using a lot a shit from seeds to pills, fent, and other shit.  Well about 2 weeks ago I got a few morphine 60mg ER.  The weekend before 14, 15, 16th of this month I stop my subs and used about one or two a day.  This went on till Tuesday morning a week ago.  I took a couple hydrocodone later that  night.  Knowing I was giving myself a week to have clean pee.  Well I took a 5 panel test tonight just to make sure.  I'm positive for opiates.  Is this possible?  From the time line from the internet I saw 2-5 days for morphine to leave your system.  I weight 140 lbs and I'm 6 foot.  Skinny as fuck with a way fast metabolism.  The one thing I can think is that I'm almost 25 days clean from poppy tea which I used everyday.  Is there any fucking way that shit is still in my system?  I'm gonna drink a gallon of water tonight to see if that helps.  Any thoughts

I'm thinking one of two things, or both.

Morphine definitely has a shorter half-life compared to PST or PPT.  But there are slightly different elimination times for acute v. chronic use.  I'm not exactly 100% sure, as I've not looked it up in a long time, but I think acute use stays in your system a tad longer than chronic use.  Or, it could be vice versa.  Maybe you'd need a few more days to test negative.

OR, it could be the PST.  PST has a ridiculously long half-life.  If you were a chronic user for a long time, and just quit 25 days ago, that could be the reason you're still testing for opiates.

On a side note (for PST users).  Whenever I had a UA while I was drinking that stuff, and they did a more expansive test for other things like oxy, hydroC, etc., I'd always test pos for oxycodone in addition to opiates in general.  I think it must be b/c of the thebaine in the tea, which is a precursor used to make oxy and other semi-synthetic opioids.

i'm backing that the ER formulation is the culprit in this case.

I was thinking the same thing as chipper...it was named extended release for a reason...hopefully they won't be too worried about a positive test bc you just started trying to clean up recently. Dr's that really care about their patients usually understand that it's gonna take time for you to stabilize on just the subs. Good luck bro

Appt was Tues. Got a call when I pulled in and theh had a emergency come up and asked to reschedule.  I said sure and we picked today Friday.  Well yesterday I realized I worked in the AM. My appt is now Monday.  What is the likelihood of me pissing dirty after 12 days of no opiate use?  If I do pee dirty tonight with my last test what can I do.  I flushed my shit out last Monday and Tuesday with drinking a gallon of water.  So I don't know if I need to do that more or another big day of it?

I'm guessing you'll be fine.  Retest tonight to be sure.

If for some odd reason you're still showing up for opiates, drink plenty of water.  To the point where the color is clear, not yellow.

Bingo chipper!! I was thinking the same thing. Small amounts of the ms-contin.cuz regular morphine can last up to 5 days. Add a time release mechanism in there and it'll hang around in low levels.
