Scientists have proposed that quantum entanglement within the myelin sheath surrounding nerve fibres could help explain rapid synchronization between neurons.

⚛️ A 2024 theoretical study explored how entangled photons might contribute to neural communication, but the mechanism has not been experimentally confirmed in the brain.
