Random, short, old topic to revive, but I just had to point out that I genuinely thought for the longest time that you pretty much couldn't die from a meth overdose. I'm amazed at my own stupidity on this one, but misinformation about meth is rampant down in the south where they love the shit and wanna believe it's harmless... or at least "not as bad as *gasp* heroin!"
Not long ago, during a lovely ambulance ride, I got in a conversation with a really sweet EMT. She was an older lady, motherly type... told me she sees more deaths from meth around here than opiates, by far. First time I'd heard of someone actually dying from meth. It's embarrassing but I thought I'd mention it somewhere just to get it out there in case anyone else happens to be as blissfully ignorant as I was. lol.
