extended absence from work

so i fucked up and have ended up taking a about month off on a new job. a few days were my fault but the next 3 weeks were the hospital's.

a drug burn from a canulation miss.

should I ask for time off without pay, let the company wear it or what ?

I'm thinking time off without pay but what do you think ?

thank you but in no way am I going to hold the hospital culpable - they have saved my life too many times.

I am going after the taxi driver and maybe even the cops as it took my partner to get me hospitalised and intubated before I died.

speaking to the cops tonight.

I have decided to ask for leave without pay as the ultimate expression of my loyalty and of my appreciation of giving me a job.
