My night ended in disaster and i came very close to death but my domestic partner saved me. so what happened ?

On Saturday I took some WEAK crystal during the day and before heading out and 7 grams of Phenibut at about 8 PM (which i have had before but with GOOD Meth and barely felt it).

Now, i had no idea what to expect in a club like this and no normal straight guy would be caught dead in there, i'd imagine. But i was with an "internet friend" of quite a while, of the DJ (of some 33+ years DJ'ing and who is HIV+ve). He started DJ'ing during the AIDS crisis in the 80's just to spread some joy through music to his gay community.

They didn't even have variable pitch turntables in those days and recorded to Beta & VHS Video tapes (for the oldies here).

He doesn't do drugs and is so serious about music. He got me dancing for 6 hours but that must've been too much ... he likes it that i'm so into his music, he keeps guest listing me.

The crowd all dances in underwear as there is a changing room. I didn't care because i just want to dance to music i love to move to. I asked for the tour as the venue was empty at 10 PM still - there are sex rooms (slings, bathtubs, darkened rooms), a dance area, 3 bathrooms for showering etc. and a bar, of course.

I saw no sex acts, thank fuck, and some of the crowd thought it was amazing that i had attended. The oldest guy i met was 60 but still looking good. I was the only one wearing jeans and a T-shirt and i stay that way !

I had 2 drinks all night but around around 5 AM Sunday, i started nodding off. Some guy even gave me a joint (yay! first time in about 6 months) ... at least 3 people took care of me a different times - what a caring crowd, it's no wonder i dig them !

Anyway, after being bundled into a taxi, i lost consciousness. Next thing i know, it's 5 AM Monday morning and i am in Intensive Care, I have a catheter, a canula (being given Acyclovir - anti-viral), Fentanyl (a respiratory depressant) and a muscle-relaxer (Ha!, the last thing i needed) but they weren't to know.

I told them what i had but nobody knew about Phenibut. I had to be intubated to keep me breathing !

The doctor tried so hard to get a vein and now i'm covered in bruises; he didn't listen to me and go in the foot. One nurse tried, missed and still let the drip goes into my tissue. Hurt like a mofo and i have a HUGE bruise on that foot. Currently under Cellulitis watch as they used both feet.

NOTE TO INJECTORS: KEEP SOME VEIN SPACE FOR HOSPITALIZATION or suffer like me,

They said that i had a mini heart attack and i will get the details in a few days time. Depressed kidney function too. damn. Could be the Phenibut and Meth, the vigorous dancing at 55 y/o or some or all of the above.

Here is the sad part - i was found soaking, in the cold (just out of winter by a few days) on the ground outside my local police station - the cops worked out that i had been there for 45 minutes. My glasses were cracked and all the cash in my wallet had been stolen and i remember the taxi driver asking me multiple times if i had money and i showed him my cash ($40).

But he left an EFTPOS receipt ! So i want to hear his side of the story.

So the cops dropped me home and my domestic partner saved my life ! i wasn't moving or hardly breathing so she called an ambulance (the cops didn't want to at first - WTF ?). The paramedics and police came into our house and did a quick search for drugs ! Fuck me, i didn't know that they could do that but they did. the only stuff i had was a a little Meth, 1/2 Kilo of still-legal Phenibut, a dirty Meth pipe and a bong but they didn't see them so all good ( C:-) )

Anyway, if i didn't get to the hospital they said that i may have died !

Now i am holding the taxi company accountable for negligence - they should have taken me to hospital, called an ambulance or at least walked me to the police as a last resort. Smashed lens is $150 and i reckon that they should compensate me for that - i'm going to fight it.

that's my story ! Fantastic party, tragic outcome. I'm still groggy and have no idea why the Phenibut hit me so hard. Sure, i accidentally took 16 Valiums a few days before but could that be the catalyst ?

I'm glad your okay. Be fucking careful bro. That is scary shit. That phenobarbital ain't no joke. I'd say the Valium had a lot to do with it as the half life is stupid long. Throw in the phenibut and maybe the crash from the meth and there you go. Plus the drinks. You were loaded up on a lot of shit bro. Take it easy for a while to! A few fewer chemicals nest time man. Combos make blue lips man.

Ya I'd say that valium could easily be a factor. Honestly it sounds like a lot of things, and even if the speed was weak, it's still speed. And I know I've ranted before, but a phenibut OD gave me petit-mal seizures. How the fuck a GABA agonist made me seize IDK, but it did. That and a REALLY bizarre "waking dream" kinda experience, BIZARRE, really turned me off of Phenibut. But I did buy that OD wholesale, I gotta be honest about that.

You haven't been off MD that long either, have you? That could be a factor as well.

No idea how it works down there, but here I'd have an atty already, and I'd sue the fucking pants off that cab company, hose that ins. company hard. No joke. You could have died there.

I will get to the bottom of that cab issue - they said that they are processing my complaint ... i was quite firm so i hope they take me seriously.

 Being over 50 is dangerous.

I also just remembered that I hadn't eaten for a day and a half so that must make it worse akin to alcohol.

now I'm thinking that my drink may have been spiked or there was something in the joint.

I had to be restrained with belts when taken by the paramedics. it doesn't make sense as I have taken 9 grams and never passed out even after hours of dancing.

before getting work I was seeing a disability employment agency (addiction was my handicap) and they have offered to pay to fix my glasses.

I'm also wearing contact lenses for the first time in my life ... until I get them fixed. good things have come from this but check out this for an EPIC miss ... it's from a 20 guage canula/drip of Acyclovir that went straight out of the vein wall and into the tissue for about 20 minutes !

all so fucking unnecessary too. got cellulitis yet again and it hurts !

My gawd Chipper your foot  Is that the same foot you had to go to the hosp for a while back? That looks so painful I feel so bad they did that to you. What are all the indented dots? Is that from the bandage? I hope/assume you are on antibiotics for the cellulitis?

Side bar: I think the booze mixed with the Phenibut could be the culprit. I was reading a bit on it, I'm sure you know way more than I do. Anyway I must have read "Do not take with alcohol" in every article and supplier web site and the reviewers were even making a point to warn potential users.

I just saw my GP. I did not have a "mini heart attack" and nor were my kidneys compromised.

I am on Flucloxacillan as of right now and my foot bloody hurts - last time it was my fault and it was in both feet.

I have mixed Phenibut with far more alcohol and taken higher doses than i did this night but maybe the lack of food and exertion (only had two drinks) and a Meth tolerance all conspired against me.

or maybe something was in the joint or i really did get slipped a dodgy drink ... i will never know.

They even gave me a spinal tap ! my arms are also full of bruises because the doctor didn't want to take my advice so i let him try to stick me just so i could be proved right.

i think i figured why i ended up in intensive care (the part of the hospital that you never want to be in).

2 days before i lost consciousness, i inadvertently took 20 Valium. i was so upset because i don't remember doing so but i woke up after early in the morning on the couch and then i checked my script and yes, i did it again for the umpteenth time.

i can't take benzos any more because I simply can't be trusted. after 25 mg i lose it and my precious Diazepam !

so now i have an overdose of very long half life Diazepam metabolites in my system that i am not cognisent of.

The terminal elimination half-life of the active metabolite N-desmethyldiazepam is up to 100 hours.

two days later, after little sleep, virtially no food, excessive physical exertion and a high tolerance to Meth, i consume 6 G Phenibut and some alcohol whilst partying on some average Meth.

my mate told me that it was the Valium and i think he was right - it pushed me over the edge.

went to the same club again 2 nights ago, again as the DJ's guest and had a great time.

my buddy spins the music i want to hear and the cops just avoid gay sex clubs (I don't blame them as a straight guy, you have to be brave and try to forget what you see).

but the privacy, friendliness, the DEEP underground vibe and the professionalism and mastery of the DJ and lighting tech is hard to put into words.

my friend has HIV,  is such a nice guy and has been remixing and DJ'ing for way past 30 years !

i have attached some pics for you that i took. the first two are of my mate and the third is the warm-up DJ that was new and set the tempo too high for the time of night. this shit is a very carefully thought out progression and so many don't feel it.

a good night was had but the nausea and some delayed vomiting set in after finally eating some food in the morning.

if anyone can recomnend a way to balance my gut pH after taking 6 G of acidic Phenibut HCL then i would be grateful.

after a year on Phenibut with liberal but rare doses of Pregablin, my tolerance to it has matured significantly.

i can barely feel it yet move closer to high toxicity levels so some time off is indicated.

this GABA trip is relatively new to me so i don't know if it can be completely reset (much like everything else).

Yeah, a spoonful of baking soda in a little water should sort out your stomach, it works to neutralize acid when there are other reasons for the acid, i don't see why it would matter if the source of the acid is phenebuit or not.

Im glad to hear you didn't really have a heart attack or kidneys failed or anything. I feel like when drugs are involved and they don't know what happened exactly they make up shit to shame you.

Happened to me in the hospital before, i had a seizure from electrolyte imbalance, technical term was hyponetramia i believe. I only know that cause my husband was looking it up and telling them what was happening. They were trying to say i "overdosed" on research chems, 4mmc was what i was on. And their course of action to add more water in an iv would have killed me or at least made it worse.

So good looking out, not believe everything that comes out of a doctors mouth, lol. Didn't you just have cellulitis recently in one foot? Is this the same time or an additional bout of it?

Wishing you a speedy recovery, and hope you get some decent medications out of this at least. (Except, yeah, i know, you just got done tapering anyways...)

i had cellulutis in both feet over a year ago but this last "foot" issue was a chemical burn by an Acyclovir "miss" (by the hospital).

it's a long story as i stopped injecting and came off Methadone a long time ago.

I'm ok now and the burn is still healing after a skin graft.

i got a tiny amount of decent meds but i can't do pain killers without some withdrawal.

I'm guessing that it's just one of those really caustic drugs which you can get away with IV, diluting it with fast-moving large volumes of blood, but when it's lying still in tissue, it starts to do real damage.

Methadone is quite a caustic drug - even the ampoules that are designed for IV use were quite well known for leaving behind ruined veins with a weird white colour that would radiate away from the injection site(s) for a few mm.
