I wonder if the victim was related to the Ruffin brothers of motown fame? I've been fascinated with David especially ever since I read about his death from an "adverse drug reaction" from crack. For anyone who doesn't know he was the lead singer for the Temptations during their greatest period.

There's a pretty good book called "The trials of white boy Rick" that covers the Detroit PD and the drugs trade-it's well worth tracking down.
