We here in Sydney and the rest of the state (New South Wales) are under the tightest lock-down restrictions ever. Daily case numbers and deaths are on the rise and it's the worst since the pandemic began.
It all stems from one limo driver who caught it from air cargo flight crew ... it's hard to blame him because few saw it coming.
Now the virus has spread to the regions and the whole state is in lockdown, as are others states like Victoria
There are fines of up to $5000 for breaking the health orders.
This is all due to the delta strain and it is both worrying and depressing. Prior to delta, we had it well under control.
The best thing to do is to get vaccinated and stay at home. I have had my first Pfizer shot 2 weeks ago and am eagerly awaiting the next one in a week or so.
If anybody wants to talk about the virus, feel free.
It's like being imprisoned yet fearful of going outdoors !
