How to Ban and/or Warn Members

1. Admin > Members > Ban List >  Add New Ban (or List Bans) and add the username to ban OR

- from any member's profile, Profile > Actions > Ban this User
OR
- from any member's profile, Profile > Actions > Issue a Warning

2. Admin > Members > View All Members > then select username and change it's Forum Profile avatar to the "banned" one in the list of avatars.

You have TWO ways of banning somebody: if you decide to not implement a full ban then a mod won't put a slash through the user name. You can opt for a full ban and then you will see slashes through their name in the avatar area.

Your call ... BUT PLEASE DON'T BAN ON IP ADDRESS ! -- it is a waste of time as they are always changing and can actually slow down the forum as it wades through lists of IP's.
