Title: Could a child sex robot treat paedophilia?

OK this does seem very random to be posting on here
not that we haven't all engaged in numerous political/social/ethical conversation
regarding topics outside of drugs here

I'm not posting the article because its really only one part I care about
The reason I post this is because early in the article,
they compare giving pedophiles child sex robots to giving heroin addicts methadone

I will say that personally this is just another fucking example
of the media (this time it is the BBC) of lazily clumping drug users in with another group of evildoers

Is anybody here who is on methadone glad they are on methadone
because they are raping less children?
Substituting one pharmacologically similar substance for another
is in no way normalizing and practically condoning something so horribly destructive and digusting
AS A RESULT OF GOVERNMENT POLICY

There are plenty of people who would agree that yes, it is almost exactly the same you fool
"can't you see how destructive and horrible drugs are, and that pedophilia is also illegal"
but for these people, there is no help. they are always going to be blind, hateful people

I know I must seem like I have really had a bee in my bonnet over the way drug users are treated
And I have
This is EXACTLY the kind of shit, the casual every day references to drug users like a serious fucked group of people
of whom, 90% are basically lost causes (they will even tell you this in rehab, even suggesting success rates are even lower)
and the only thing that can promise some hope is to contain the problem and keep treating users as subhumans

WTFF?

I know you're not a real-live freak but damn that thread title takes the cake.

I tried to read the post but damn, homie.

i had to read the title three times, i swore it was a typo at first
no fucking way, how ridiculous.

i suppose blowup dolls/flesh lights (cant say it without lols) satisfy people enough to where they dont even consider sexual intercourse with a woman too.

I have often wondered if you can truly treat pedophilia but I think it's like trying to turn somebody from gay to straight.

any substitution "therapy" may only encourage the real thing.

but at least people are trying to fix an extremely ugly problem, so there is hope.

I will never have and never will have kids so I don't have to worry about such sick predators.

yeah, I think that they're doomed for life.

exactly.

I know it would be hard to figure out an accurate stat, but i'm willing to bet that pedophilia has increased 1000%, shit maybe 10,000% since the internet became an everyday thing. So at least there is a conversation about curbing such a thing.
this however, is not even close to a realistic idea.

I have seen people compare being a brony to being black, so anything is possible.

Opiates and pedophilia might both seem like vice to an outsider, but I think that the motivations and realities are pretty different.

Better question is would a sex robot help anyone who doesn't have a sex robot fetish?  Even methadone requires a great deal of work and commitment on the part of the addict.  Replacing harmful behaviours with less harmful behaviours.  I get it, but the comparison just seems wrong.  I have a feeling that it is only being made because it is something your average derp would understand.

I think part of it is that I don't buy pedo as a sexual orientation.  I see it as an exploitation of innocence and imposition of your will on someone helpless.  On second thought then, maybe a sex doll would work.

I sort of prefer castration honestly.

Who knows, I think more than likely such a device will only reinforce the emotional & sexual desires of the user.

Some would argue that such a replacement would only encourage the user to seek an actual victim.

This would be the same argument regarding photographs: some will say it offers a victimless release of said desires, while others will say it only strengthens such desires.

I DO think that sex robots are being more & more complex; starting with inflatable devices to ones that have electrical system for a variety of effects, to ones that will discuss their incredibly boring day at "work" but has a "Mute Button" when that gets old.

Will robot-fuckers spend $20,000 on a model that emulates a 48 year old, twice-divorced woman, or a more youthful model?  There will be many that will ask for the Teenage model (18 year old plus), but then the robofucker in Germany, where the age of consent is 14, will ask for model that looks like that.  Would that model be available to guys that live in areas where the age of consent is 18??

A murky, murky area.

And this isn't a one-sided discussion either.  Women robot fuckers can order their ideal man, however they see him.  I think one that does a shit-ton of home improvements without complaining would be a big seller.

Interesting questions being raised, we're at the threshold where this will become a billion dollar a year industry.

MP: "Hey man, have you heard about the iFuk 3000?  Supposed to be great!"
JM: "Dude, I stood in line for 36 hours to be one of the first to get one."
MP: "Oh, so that's where you were last week."

I was under the impression that the iFuk 3000 underwent a name change.
Nowadays its known simply as "Morfy"

What about when the pedophile starts asking their child sex-robots to introduce them to their child sex-robot friends?  Are we going to allow pedophiles to trade models back and forth?  Will that increase the incidence of STDs among pedophiles?

What about a mechanism where the child sex-robot has a safety device.  If the robot says no, and the pedophile rapes it, the sex-robot has a mini guillotine in its orifices.  Mechanical castrations instead of chemical?

Maybe there could be extended loaner models, to judge how the pedophile reacts.  Kinda the same principle as parents getting mechanical babies to gauge what being a parent is like.  It would allow officials to see if the pedophile could be a "responsible" pedophile.

What if the robot's sentient?  Are we okay with having conscious animatronics being sex models to pedophiles, to anyone?

What about a hologram sex worker, for pedophiles and regular people?  A Star Trek TNG scenario.

Will there be an offshoot of NAMBLA?  NAMRBLA (North American Man Robotic Boy Love Association).

What about maintenance and lubrication?  Is the pedophile responsible, or does the sex-robot change its own lube?

...................................

I could go on and on with these funny, yet absurd, scenarios.

I also think it's inappropriate to compare drug addicts with pedophiles.  It's not a fair comparison, and it's demeaning to addicts.  This is the first time I've been unhappy with the BBC.

where's the fun in f'in a robot? You can't ask him or her to help you find your lost puppy or offer them candy to lure them into your van that you live in down by the river.

I think Narko has hit upon something.

I'd think twice before having an actual, tangible sex doll that someone can discover--like when I die, and my relatives are going thru my shit, they will be like: 'What the f*%$# !"

But the hologram (holodeck) as a tool of sexual release, that would be good, but hella-expensive, I'm sure.

Now that I think about it, the items are tangible, just temporarily so, so there's still some missing technology there.....

Get busy scientists: We want holodecks!!

There is another BBC documentary with Louis Theroux about pedophiles and somebody compares them to drug addicts. I have no sympathy for chomos I say shoot them in the head first time they are caught. It blows my mind how little time they get. Non-violent drug offenders often get more time than child molesters and other sex offenders. The guy who was in the cell next to me last time I was arrested only got 15 years and this was his 3rd time getting caught. No telling how many times he didn't get caught and this time his charge was for aggravated incest on his 8 year old niece who was mentally handicapped. Just look at Jared Fogle he can get out after serving 75% of his minimum and he can use good time and be out in a little over 5-6 years I think.

At the same time another guy in my pod who was 23 was looking at 13-25 years for a bullshit charge where he thought he had money on his card and filled up his gas tank and didn't have any cash and when the guy working there came out to tell him that his card didn't have money he started pushing the guy who was in jail with me. He offered to give him his smart phone and license while he went to get money and the guy refused and when the gas station clerk started pushing him he got in his car and left and the guy tried to jump in front of his car so he called the police and told them he stole from them and tried to run him over. He then proceeded to run from the cops for a short bit which is where he messed up the most in my opinion.

It was his first time being arrested and I thought the time they were trying to sentence him too was to much for what happened. They kept his bond at $250,000 for the 8 months that I was incarcerated and still going to court there and he still hasn't been sentenced or had his bond dropped and he was arrested in the beginning of January. The place I was arrested was very racist and I think that has a lot to do with how his court proceedings have gone.

I think chopping their fucking arms off at shoulder would be a better idea.

And as for comparing them to addicts,  fuck whoever made that comparative and then ran with it.

You fucked those first two...jesus im so drunk. Those first two comparison are way off. In your mind. Id say fuck you, but after being on the " brink of society", and feeling what thats like, then God help you with whatever you need to feel norma,l. And thats straight from the heart. No matter how fucked up you are, humanity in this age should find a mofo answer. No matter what/who/when/how it is. If you were fucked from the get-go and wanted to fuck little boys, then in my mind thats not your fault. Yes, you have a gauge on the restraint. But anyways, yeea, if sounds like a solution then honestly why not.
