Hey guys. I just wanted to let youse guys know what was going on with me.
I was doing great on my methadone taper, and I even got down to 1 mg. It wasn't too bad, all things considered. But.... I decided I had 'earned' a bag of dope. Just ONE time ha-ha Amazingly enough, that didnt work out too well...
One bag turned into ten, I started spending money like crazy, my girlfriend came home one night to me OD'ng... Youse guys know the drill- a shit show of epic proportions pretty much. My hats are off to all of you that can keep a habit under control. That's some serious voodoo magic that totally escapes me.
So, I'll be back here in however long to let y'all know how Jeebus and NA can save your lives! (I'm definitely joking ha-ha). But really, I just wanted youse guys to know what was up.
Wish my dumb ass luck! :-/

Good luck, Seetie!!! I'm sorry it didn't quite go as planned. This happening is my greatest fear and why I think I will be on maintenance forever...cause when I try to get off, my life turns to shit almost immediately!!!
I hope detox is relatively painless and I hope you get from it what you are looking for! Let us know how you are doing when you can.

The gave me a 6 day sub taper, and it was almost TOO easy ha-ha Well, except for the first day, where they made me get sick as a dog :-(

Pink cloud??? Pfft, I wish... I don't feel too bad, but I'm certainly not 100%. Sleep is also pretty hard to come by, but all in all, its not near as bad as I thought it would be...

Hey Guey... Could you tell me how the sub taper went down? As in:
Day 1: 8mg
Day 2: 7mg
etc.
Or did they not share that kind of info with you? I'm just curious, as I'm hoping to do either a sub or methadone detox (from dope) myself.

Friday pm 4mg
Sat am 4mg
Sat pM 6mg
Sun aM 2mg
Sun PM 4mg
Mon PM 4mg
Tue PM 2 mg
We'd PM 2mg
I'm sure that can be tweaked a bit, but they way they did it was virtually painless... Of course I didn't sleep a lot, and I felt some minor WD, but nothing even close to heroin WD....
I'll add that I also think it helped that I was getting three square meals, vitamins, and a bit of exercise.

Interesting that you are probably one of the only people who ever went from a lower dose of MD (1MG if I remember correctly) to a higher dose of Sub to come off it. Or maybe not, maybe I don't know anything about real stats and puled that one out of my ass.

Well, umm, actually..... I went from 1mg of methadone to chipping to a straight up bth habit :-(
I wouldn't recommend it, but it worked for me. Thus far, I should say. I'm on day 10 with absolutely nothing. I feel good, and even though I have a few cravings here and there, its no biggie, as I don't ever wanna go thru that again.... I would like a beer tho.

Thanks... I'd really like to do this with methadone, but if I can't get 200-300mg soon, I'll try the subs. I'm just scared of PWD, since I don't start getting dope WDs until about 16 hours in... so I have no idea how long I'd have to wait to induct subs.
