What happened to the reports he had been suffering from the flu and dehydration? Sigh...

someone representing him has been saying for weeks thats the reason he's missed the concert dates, but I dont know if anything confirming he had the flu has been released

last time he was in the hospital was when he made the emergency plane landing. he was only there 3 hours. since he died not long afterwards, privacy laws make it really difficult to get any solid information about happened.

which is unfortunate because as a result of no reliable information being released, all you are left with is tabloid journalism

@neighbor

Just curious, but why do you really not want to believe it was am OD?

Also, you said you don't believe this scenario will change... meaning legalization? If so, do you think that would've made a difference? I mean, he was using pharmaceuticals so they were pure drugs and he knew the dosages...

I liked david bowie just as much if not more than Prince, and it was awful news hearing he died, but it's been more upsetting with Prince's death. Maybe it's because of the OD, I really dont know. But I'd simply prefer if he didn't die from something as preventable as an overdose.

I wasn't referring to anything as particular as drug laws being the reason for his death. When I said scenario I was just talking about the sheer number of early deaths from drug overdose

as much as Id like to not say that, personally it's hard to deny

and of course it would have made a difference if these drugs were decriminalized. I just don't know what that difference is.

I think its safe to say that we've all moved past the tabloid stage as far as the whole "flu or Overdose hospital stay (Or lack there of)" Afterall, When mega clebs who are not all out in the open with their drug problems are hospitalized for said drug problems, its SOP to cite flu/ect. I mean drugs are awesome, opiates are obviously one of the best. When you have more money than jesus (the fuck do people say that for, or is it more money than god? either way, i dont think either of those dudes, or dudettes?? ahh think about that. [/badfamilyguyquote] had any coin, let alone a large amount to be compared with) then why the fuck not do them.
But yeah, hospital narcan?

Theres also the photos of his "last days" or whatever. of multiple pharmacy visits.
The EMT discussions of having narcan at his house, but not using it. I'm sure its all relevant. and we'll prolly get some long half truth eventually. Maybe even a sliver of toxicology reports in a few months. But other than to fill that burning empty pit of WHAT/WHY/HOW what is it really going to do? People die from drugs. Either from doing things to try to get drugs, doing drugs, or doing shit while on drugs. It happened today, it happened yesterday, and it will sure as fuck happen tomorrow. Lets all just try to avoid any of that anytime soon.

The article on Thedailymail paints an interesting picture. Sudden un-expected med switch -> Tylenol poisoning?

If that one pans out, man, they're gonna have to re-define the word "suck."

I could see it, little guy like him probably got a little tiny liver, too.

Imagine Prince as a direct casualty of the WoD.

Until the autopsy is complete all there is is speculation.

One thing though, if he was regualrly taking Dilaudid and Fentanyl he didn't OD from Percocet but perhaps the acetominphine in it
