http://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/colorado-town-depletes-bank-reserves-to-pay-350000-settlement-for-barring-methadone-clinic/comments/#disqus

You may remember me posting a story about monument, colorado stopping a clinic from opening after they had already told them they could open. They let them buy a commercial property, and gave them their license only to revoke it after a few butt hurt people started petitioning it because it was close to a park.

Well now those people are having to pay 800,000$ to the done company for their bullshit! They even tried to make a law in colorado stopping methadone clinics from being considered medical clinics and to give them the same regulations for where they can open as alcohol and weed, instead of being a medical clinic that can open anywhere they can only open in select places away from anywhere.

I hope they make money on this settlement, they spent almost a million dollars trying to open this clinic after being told it was okay only to be told they couldn't because some nut jobs didn't want a clinic in their town. So now they are paying for it and it makes me happy I just hope they didn't lose money, they should pay for them to open a clinic on top of the settlement, I feel sorry for the people who live there that have to drive a few hours to get into treatment. Everywhere has a waitlist in this state.

Heres their website and a news story of what happened that resulted in the lawsuit and settlement.
