I think he is eluding to the fact that tracking user logins by ip is difficult as anyone with tor can make results unusable, however, I'm not positive that's what he means....

Indeed, but there's only so much we can do and to be honest, there's only so much I(personally) would want to do. We need to make sure the site is as secure as possible without turning it into a police state.

thanks, Opus (btw, that link trashed my Chrome browser so i reinstalled it - more odd shit)

I read up on TOR and how it sits in the App layer and encrypts the source/destination IP's etc. as it passes through it's encryption relays.

sneaky, alright ... and clever.

BUT the fact remains someone is messing with me and another member ... this may be one way of doing that but exactly how and why eludes me.

thanks.

I personally use WiFi whenever available on my mobile devices, only for the fact that everything loads faster for the most part. Of course I'll use my cellular 4G data if WiFi isn't around though.

I do the same. Fingers crossed this isn't a repeat or similar to the problem we had a while back. Sorry somebody's messing around Chipper. Hope you & Opus figure it out quick.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

This isn't wise. At all. for a variety of reasons, it opens u up to a shitload of attacks, primarily (and worst of all) is a rouge ap. Ur fucked if ur doing anything remotely important on there.... I downloaded an app that keeps my wifi off unless it senses my physical location is near a known trusted wifi network, then it turns it on and connects, of course that sensing is done by cellular signal strength (triangulation) and altitude, as I'm way too paranoid to leave gps on all the time

thanks. I will just try to keep adding more checks until I have the data I need for a reliable investigation.

having more tools abd checks can only be a good thing but investigating a fellow member for dirt is a deoressing last resort.

by now everyone should know that we archive database backups and can read all mail ... with the extra checking data we should eventually weed out the trouble makers.

acquiring drugs is a special social skill that is best left for your IRL situations ... if anybody thinks that this is a good vehicle for that must have a whole heap of poor skills and poor judgement.

don't make your inadequacies into our problem.

respect our rules ... they are few but simple.

score elsewhere.
