Suboxone taper
« on: July 20, 2020, 02:48:08 AM »
Just signed up here, looks like a good place to post this...I recently posted on BL but got nothing. My situation is I just quit a 1-2g bth habit on the 4th, and have been tapering since, started taking a 8mg strip 60 after last H use, then dropped half every day till around 1mg, since then Iv been dropping about .10mg every 3-4 days, right now I am at .63mg a day and will drop to .50mg in 3 days. When I level out at .50mg I plan to drop .05mg every week or so till I’m at .05-.10mg a day...anyone ever try anything like this or have any success gettin off subs with little to no wd ? Thanks

sounds like a good plan.  i've only done faster and never down to as low as you're talking about but it was far from painless.  my experience is that dropping dose isn't hard until >2mg.  how are you titrating that low of a dose?  just curious, i just eyeballed crumbs.  i had the pills, i can see strips being easier to divide up or maybe you're dissolving in water?  Good luck to you.  sorry this place is pretty dead, I miss it...

I would use loperamide when you finally jump. Its an otc opioid that is similar to methadone, however it doesn't get you 'high' as it only works on gut/body opi receptors. This way you can go through mental wd without the physical wd, then stop the lope and go through the physical part. All you need is 2-12mg. Probably 4mg is enough to make a huge difference. LDN when clean can help revitalize your endorphins/opi receptors and prevent PAWS.
