No thread on this med started here yet. Plenty on Bl00light but those are just lil babies over there.
Anyone ever mess with Provigil? (modafinil). It's a C-IV "stimulant," but frankly very underwhelming. Comes in 200mg tablets. At 800mg all I got was hungry! Still, I can tell it's something because I've been involuntarily clenching my jaws all day long...
2.5lbs of poppy seed brewed into tea and I hardly feel it...
So I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed modafinil to attenuate the effects of narcotics. I know doing coke can sometimes dull a dope high, but this shit is definitely NOT coke. Nowhere close. Took 60mg Adderall on Thursday night and was Gucci for like 8 hours, but this shit, I dunno.

When I was in the methadone clinic several years ago, the doctor there gave me this for about six months. It was supposed to keep me from passing out each day (from too much methadone IMO).
You're right, it's not like amphetamines or coke at all. To me, it was like drinking a pot of coffee without the jitters of caffeine. It's very sedate for a stimulant IMO.
Back when I was taking it, that shit was expensive too. Each week the doctor would write me 14 pills, 2 per day. He gave me a "coupon" to take to the pharmacy to get it for free. I swear, someone at that clinic must have had a Provigil problem. 3/4 of the time the pharmacist had to call to get a new code b/c the one I had been given had already been used. The pharmacist always got pissed b/c of that. Fuck Krogers Pharmacists anyway. IME, they always gave me attitude for Suboxone. I won't go there anymore.
There is a newer form. Nuvigil / Armodafinil. Never tried it, but I wonder if it would work better.

i gave the rest away but maybe i should've explored them some more.

Chipper - 100mg probably wouldn't be enough
Nark - i think it enhances opiates, and used it several years ago when i could afford to pay for it at the pharmacy. I would pick up only a few pills at a time because it was at least $11 per pill (insurance wouldn't cover it).
I also tried the Nuvigil when it came out (drug rep samples are awesome!), and it is about the same as Provigil, just like an extended release version (it doesn't have a time release mechanism, i guess it's just the way its metabolized).

Damn - now i feel a bit foolish. i was having blurry vision (unrelated) issues due to dry eyes and thought the Modafinil caused it.
