Title: Testosterone prescriptions
Post by: bignasty on August 23, 2018, 11:38:48 PM
Who all on here has a script for testosterone?
How did you get it?
Did you get it from a specialist (Urologist/Endocrinologist) or just your family doctor/PCP?

I had my levels checked a few yrs ago when I was about 30 yrs old and my levels were like 300 ng/dl so the doctor said my levels were normal and wouldn't give me a script for test. I'm now 35 and I'm pretty positive my levels are below normal considering I take 105mgs of 'done per day and my body fat % is 22% even though most people would consider me skinny. I guess I just have no muscle anymore and the sweets from being on 'done has made me gain a little more fat. I'm 6' and 180 lbs but 22% body fat.

What can I say to my PCP to get a script for test? What if my levels are borderline low but still in the normal range? What kind of specialist could I go to if my PCP refuses to give me a script for test?

I know they have those "Low T" clinics but you have to go once a week to get a shot that I can easily give myself and they charge anywhere from $25-50 a week when I could get a 10mg vial of 200mgs/ml for less than that after insurance covers most of it.

I used to get 10ml vials from Mexico for $20-25 and 50ml vials for $100 so I refuse to pay $25 a week to go get a shot of test UNLESS I go to 5 different doctors and they all refuse to give me a script for test. It's fucked up that if you're a transgender woman wanting to be a man that you can easily get a script of testosterone but if you're truly a man that has low testosterone, it's harder to get a script. I really need 200mg's a week to help with my lean body mass, losing fat, energy levels, sex drive, cognitive improvement, etc...

Could/would a psychiatrist ever prescribe test? I mean I know they CAN but does anybody think they ever WOULD? I need it for depression and low energy so it seems like they could justify it if the state board or DEA came asking questions.

I just checked my bloodwork from when I was 31 yrs old and my levels were 283ng and the reference range was 240-950ng. She said my levels were normal and I said not for a 31 yr old male that's telling you I have no sex drive and no energy, etc..

Have you tried CL? I've managed to find it there a few times.

I have a bit of a catch-22 with Test, I'm sure my levels are low (tho better since getting off MD), but to confirm my GP insists on a blood test, and getting blood out of me is ridiculously hard -- I'm a phleb's worst nightmare, I go through so-called "experts" like the GOP goes through crack rocks. 'snot cos I'm covered in tracks, it's just a genetic thing and I suspect combined with years of lowT. Gimme the fkn Test and I bet my veins come back.

I'm so sick of this puritanical prohibition nonsense being used as an excuse to profit off the sick. Yay capitalism run amok!!

Assholes.

CL has folks selling it or doctors that'll RX it? They had a great reddit with steroid sources but of course I googled it the other day and the damn DEA shut it down so I can no longer get good cheap test (and other AAS goodies) without going to a doctor, or getting lucky and finding it on the black market.

Yeah I've seen private people with it for sale. Usually you gotta be a little creative with your searching, but it might be worth a look.

I'm sure it's a lot easier to find in the bigger & more "progressive" cities.

Does methadone itself cause low level of T?  Or do all opiates?  I think I know the answer but just curious and I’m in a dead spot driving where google keeps stalling out.

AFAIK they all do. Chronic H use certainly does..

Hot flashes are a common sign of a T imbalance, to me it seems like they happen when levels are fluctuating..

From the studies and other shit I've read, they all lower your test levels to a certain degree. However, extended release opi's and especially 'done lowers your levels even more as your body always has some 'done or morphine or whatever in it...even in the middle of the night/early morning when your test levels are usually at their highest.

When doin dope, I usually still wake up with morning wood. When at the 'done clinic and on a decent dose, I quit having morning wood.
