Syrian/Turkish Kurdish women have special groups fighting against the extremely misogynist ISIS, who is gaining a scary amount of ground in the region. This gladdens me a bit, except that they say that they're on Bashir Assad's side (the ophthalmologist who is the "bad dictator" of Syria).
Shaheed NÅmereh! The martyr lives on! (Kurdish, not Arabic - sorry Google translate doesn't have Kurdish so it's my best transliteration).
They each carry one bullet so that they can cap themselves out if they are taken prisoner, which would lead to torture - "or worse."
The enemy actually think that if they are killed by one of these women they automatically go to hell, because that's a total dishonor on one's soul.

IDK why but there is just something so fucking awesome about seeing women with guns (not like "bikini girls and guns yay USA!" shit)- I always like the Basque movement and the Tamil Tigers for their use of women in killing the enemy.
Shame they support Bashir, but I guess now he is the lesser of two evils (but they're extremely close- dropping barrel bombs on your won population ffs, evil motherfucker).

as far as my own identity goes, i'd rather stick with the drug addict thing, it's much easier on the "non believers" and so much cooler.

I find Arab women very sexy with just their eyes revealed. Especially the woman in the video with the gun and those eyes that just bore though your soul.
I have talked to women who wear a veil and said it is liberating. She felt that she was judged on her substance and not just her appearance. This is sort of contrary to what we think in the west. I found it to be an interesting insight.
