This version of mine uses hooks and works in all browsers and has been tested on version 2.0.17.

Note: the gif file is borrowed from the blinkbbc_1-0 mod from http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=924

usage example:

[center][blink][b][i][color=red][size=12pt] Text to blink [/size][/color][/i][/b][/blink][/center]

looks like this:

This is now declared to be bug free

New version after SMF Customization Team advised:

While testing your customization, we received the following issues:

Accomodated more of SMF's Customization Team's great advice (v1.22) and created a SMF 2.1 version (v1.30)

Attn: newer versions (V1.2n is for SMF 2.0 and V1.3n is for SMF 2.1) to that use span instead of div to allow mixed usage on a single line (see below)

Newer versions (v1.24 for SMF 2.0 and v1.32 for SMF 2.1) to adjust blink rate. use like [blink=7]7 seconds[/blink] ... [blink=1]1 seconds[/blink]:

7 seconds ... 1 second
