Dangerous chemical mixed into British drug supply can leave users' faces 'rotting away'

Cocaine mixed with dangerous chemicals meant for farm animals is putting British drug-takers at risk of their faces ‘rotting away’.

A shocking new report has warned ruthless gangs are ‘cutting’ cocaine with the de-wormer levamisole, which causes human flesh to rot.

The Mirror reports it found there is a four in five chance of contamination, which can cause skin lesions and discolouration and rotting of the skin when blood cells rupture, particularly in the ears, nose and fingers.

A drug user whose face has rotted away after taking cocaine laced with de-wormer for cattle

Doctors also claim the drug that is used on pigs, cows and horses causes white blood cells to drop - leaving the sufferer 'feeling they have HIV.'

Drug deaths have hit record levels across the country as the purity of heroin and cocaine increased, according to figures released last year.

But it seems the risk to users is even higher now it's emerged gangs are routinely using the powerful deworming agent to cut the class A drugs.

Police have issued the warning amid reports of a series of deaths and overdoses in a quiet seaside town, where super-strength heroin and cocaine is being sold.

Well, that's not news - Levamisole has been present in nearly all Cocaine for at least the last decade, hasn't it?

I've always wondered what's in what they call 'Magic' - a cut that is apparently used for crack that rocks up convincingly.

@Hooman, my best guess is benzocaineWiki

yeah, that's a good example of the media and their headline grabbing exaggeration.

... and here is some more reliable information on Levamisole > https://www.vice.com/en_au/article/qbxwxp/levamisole-in-cocaine-9000

Wow, so apparently if 8% of whites and a few precent of others have this response, why have i never heard of this happening? You'd probably have to sniff a lb of coke to even risk having this happen, i hate these conservatives fear mongering.

Apparently it's a matter of dose, as well - 150mg is a standard dose when used in humans, so you'd have to consume quite a bit of blow to get up to neat therapeutic levels.

It's one of the purported metabolites that fascinates me - Aminorex? Really?

5ish years ago i did a couple speedball binges & both times the next day the skin on my nose, ears & parts of my face turned red & hard until the top layer of skin peeled off.  I figured it was due to something in the coke.  I looked like shit for a bit.  "Allergic reation" was my excuse when asked "what happened?"

Moe was it painful? Glad it wasn't permanent like that gravel/krokodil stuff.
