Title: Drinkers Like Me - Adrian Chiles (video)
Post by: Chip on September 28, 2019, 06:04:01 AM
I am currently wrestling with a fledgling alcohol addiction as I struggle with a DUI (Meth), mental illness, unemployment, isolation, fatigue, anxiety, depression and poly-drug addiction (Stimulants (METH) and GABAergics).

Ha, the video says that "it's not about drinking sherry in the morning" but that's exactly where I got to before trying to address my alcohol habit with my cheap (sherry: 11 std drinks for AUD 6$) drink of choice.

I drink and get back into bed; no hangover, no odd behaviour, no drink driving, no shaking hands; it's my physical health that concerns me and why I am making amends since i started daily drinking 3 years ago and heavily, in the past few months.

You are considered an alcoholic if you consume more than 5 standard drinks a day (for men) but physical dependence is another matter that I am personally unfamiliar with and want to keep it that way !!  >:(

Adrian Chiles looks into what alcohol dependence and drinking too much actually means. All copyrights with the BBC, loading it here for other people around the world who are fighting alcohol issues to watch. This video is not monetised in any way.
