Title: How to add buddies

Hi folks.

It is taking some playing, and trial and error, but I am figuring out these forums bit by bit.

I have two questions that are simple but elude me somehow:

1.  How do I add someone to my buddy list?  I stumbled on the silly icon to accept a buddy request, but I don't see where I can send someone a request.

2.  Is there an option somewhere to turn off images?  I look at the site through my data constrained mobile connection on occasion.  It would be Nice to be able to temporarily turn off avatars and images to save a bit of the data cost involved.

Thanks for the help, and I appreciate the hard work in am otherwise exceptional forum chippers.

re. 1: I added a mod for you and EVERYBODY will benefit.

you now just simply click on the little icon of the HEADS under their AVATAR next to their post entry, for example.

yes ? you like ? nice and simple now.

re. 2:i know of nothing to turn all the graphics off except maybe turn of signatures ? that might help a bit. and avoid the Portal page refreshing, too (stick with the forum and app. buttons.
