Title: The Joys of Medical.Marijuana
Post by: Daughter of Dionysus on September 18, 2015, 03:37:04 AM
I just smoked some
Really good medical
It was a 70% Indica
And 20 percent TLC
Cannabinoid % percents umknown

I believe it could
Get me physically dependant off these
Pain pills

I take have to a xanax once
In a while
A pain pill in a while
Or soma
Would be nice

And could  break
The actual habit

This is why I
Am a true believe in medical marijuana

Plus we wouldn't  have to
Import it
It could be grown and sold
Here
Which is why it should
Be federally leagle

It NEEDS to Federally Legalized

I completely agree.

Although any hi quality bud should be AT LEAST 20 percent tender loving care lol.

For real though, been a believer in indicas for a while now. Legalize for sure.

Omg
I was really high
And was feeling really good

If course I meant 20% THC

And forgot to add
30% sativa

I'm REALLY into
Insicas
I found one
I can't recall the name of
That is %100 indica
It's supposed to be great for migraines

I can't wait to get to Colorado
To get some

And I WILL be growing some myself

There's been a lot of stuff in the local newspaper about Ohio voting on this in 2016 or sometime soon.  Either for medical purposes, or even just to legalize it altogether for recreational use.

The discussion is mainly about the money, as usual, and about who will grow it.  Individual, private growers, or state-endorsed companies.  The articles I've read seem to say it should be state-run growers.  I think there'd be 10 throughout the state.  But that's the Enquirer, which is a moderately-conservative, Pro-Republican paper.

I hope it passes.  It would be a great revenue builder.  Plus, it'd be great to legally be able to buy weed.  So far I'm not a huge pot fan.  It does tend to make me paranoid or have intense introspective thoughts.  But if I were to be able to go to a dispensary, and be able to sample or choose from different strains, I might get into it if I found one I liked.

I'm guessing I'd be more into the sativa types.  I think they're less prone to cause paranoia, and are more of a body high.  An indica would be good though, as I do like the head high.  I just don't like the paranoia / introspection.  I'd smoke a lot more if I could find an indica / sativa / blend that is guaranteed not to cause paranoia.

They are putting it on the Michigan ballot
For recreational purposes

Which is cool

Ever since there has been medical in Michigan
You NEVER see that
Mexican shit
Which is awesome

My Grandpa was co-owner of a co-op
But a few years ago they reviewed
The laws and hugely limited
Our co-ops
It was really shitty

I don't think if it's only legal
State to state
The federal government
Should have any part of it
Although you do have to file taxes on it
Under something like
"Ill gotten gains"
Basically so they can't Al Capone ya

Nark
If you found something that was
Like 80-90% Indica
You'd like it a hella of a lot more

Thanks for the info Head.  Interesting stuff.

You're right though, they need to just legalize it federally.  I'm not a huge proponent of state-to-state laws anyway.  I don't like it that one state has one set of laws, and another state has another.  We all live in the US.  I think we all should have the same laws.  That's just me though.  I'm a Federalist / Democrat.

I admit, I don't know hardly anything about weed at all.  Especially stuff like strains, content of THC, growing, etc.  But that's surprising to me that I'd enjoy 80-90% Indica.  I always thought the more indica, the more THC, and therefore the more likely I'd get that nasty paranoia / introspection.  I believe and trust you though, so I guess I'm wrong.  I'll have to read up on it more sometime.

From what I have learned
Watching my Poppie grow
For as long as I can remember
And with him owning part of the co-op
I've learned that your THC content
Isn't really what contributes
To what kind of.buzz
Your high content sativas are the ones that will
Give that heady/paranoia kinda Buzz
Which I negate with xanax
High content indicas
Are for pain and a real good body Buzz

I really can't handle anything
More than ~%30 sativa
Even then I pop a xanax or six
And it's enuff of a energetic kind of Buzz
To where I like to clean
But I'm not all paranoid
And it's not all overwhelming

When you get into your
CBD content
And shit is where I have a lot
To learn

I'm not super smart about it
But I can look at a plant
And tell
Which dominance it has
There is a shit ton
More I'd like to learn tho

That's interesting.  I must have confused indica with sativa.  Sativa is the heady high, and indica the body high.  Yeah, you're right.  I'd like the Indica.

I'm not up to seed with THC or CBD content.  I do know that there's a strain called Charlotte's Web that has an extremely high CBD content and extremely low THC content.  It's used for children (and adults I guess) who have severe seizure disorders.  I saw a documentary on it a few years ago.  Was interesting.

But yeah, I know practically nothing compared to you.  Thanks for the info / corrections.

I also struggle with the paranoia and introspection, especially if I haven't smoked in a while. I've found concentrates have been a god send. A bad or hit off my vape-pen is a much more subtle high to me than flower. Can't really do edibles, but I've never tried low doses, lol

Yea nark you have it backwards, so they say.

Personally in my smoking days I never really noticed much difference. I'm sure it has some merit, but personally I couldn't tell much difference.

I remember one strain a friend grew called black afghan, he said supposedly was pure indica. Whether he was right or not, that shit was surely very dark. Almost black. Never seen that strain after that.

I never noticed any difference besides getting super high.

I do believe a lower tolerance could help distinguish between the strains, but I've tried, and it really wasn't any different to me.

I still have faith though. I'm sure differing thc/cbd levels will feel different.

I have a theory, but I really don't fell like typing it right now.

That CHARLOTTE WEB strain
Is very high CBD content
With. Little to no THC content
Which is extremely important for children
Don't want the kiddos getting baked

im hoping the 'medical' aspect of marijuana will slowly fade as we as a people accept the fact that marijuana is marijuana, and that we have the right to put into our bodies whatsoever we choose.

Although I'm glad the 'medical' aspect of it is being used as a stepping stone towards full legalization, the general public is still so clueless on the matter that itll be a few more years (babyjesus hopefully) before medical 'experts'  learn some factual shit before opening their mouths on TV and spewing nonsense.

Loads his electrical cig
With hash oil

He's a truck driver
So he has to go all the way
To Colorado
To stove up for the month
Or at least until he makes it back to Colorado

I REALLY like the edibles too
One time my cousin made some chocolate cookies
With the butter plus 5 marijuana joints
I sl3
I slept for 36 hrs after I ate the whole thing

LOL.  Glad I could be of some help.   ;)

............................................

In addition to Michiganders, I'm imploring all Ohioans to vote NO on Issue 2, and YES on Issue 3 during this general election.

Issue 2 is to prevent voters from amending the Ohio Constitution, and to prevent corporate monopolies.  In effect, Issue 2 passing means Issue 3 would not pass, even if it wins the majority vote.

Issue 3 makes medicinal AND recreational use of marijuana legal in Ohio.  As proposed, if passed, there will initially be 10 licensed growers.  Every Ohioan aged 21+ will be able to grow up to four plants (if they obtain a license), as well as purchase, possess, transport, use and share with another person 21 years of age or older marijuana of one ounce or less or its equivalent in marijuana-infused products.

Every Ohioan aged 21+ can also grow, cultivate, use, possess and share with another person 21 years of age or older homegrown marijuana in an amount not to exceed four flowering marijuana plants and eight ounces of usable homegrown marijuana at a given time, so long as they have obtained a non-transferrable license.

Even if Issue 3 passes, it will NOT become law if Issue 2 passes.  If you want Issue 3 (marijuana) to pass, you should vote no on Issue 2 (in effect, anti-marijuana).

Post by: Narkotikon on October 21, 2015, 08:34:01 AM
Yeah, the controversy mainly has to do with corporations growing v. independent growers.

If this law passes, then the state will begin having 10 licensed corporations growing in different locations throughout the state.  IF demand exceeds harvests by those 10 companies, then they'll expand to more growers.

Issue 2 (the bad one) is a clever way for the anti-pot league to prevent Issue 3 (the good one) from passing.  It tries to cloak itself in anti-corporation, anti-monopoly shit, but it also prevents the voters in OH from ever amending the state constitution by referendum.  So if it passes, no Issue 3 becoming law, even if it passes.  And no more voters being able to gain signatures to put issues on the ballot (i.e., no more pot issues on the ballot unless politicians decide to do it, which is unlikely).

As for growing at home, the amounts are small.  Only 4 flowering plants, and only up to 8 ounces.  So some growers are opposed, because it does favor those 10 companies growing it for everyone.

IMO though, this is a start, and I'd still like to see Issue 3 pass.  It will provide the option for people to use MJ legally for recreational and medicinal purposes.  And who wouldn't love going into a dispensary and legally buying up to an ounce of weed?

Edit:  Hell yeah I'm voting.  I'm going on Thursday.  Usually I only vote in Presidential elections, but I'm making an exception for this one.  My mother already voted, and I'm pretty sure even she voted yes on this.  LOL.  For the medicinal aspect I'm sure.  We're both early voters.

Yeah Rec weed in CO was amazing when I was there last winter, I got into Steamboat Springs at 6:45 after driving 1200 miles straight thru from Milwaukee.  The shop closed at 7pm so they stayed open to show me all the bud and products they had.  I spent like $600 on weed and items over the 6 days I was there.

The containers they sold the weed in had all the medical facts about the bud printed on it and the THC and other actives percentages marked on the side.  All the products were top notch and so potent. I had a huge smile on my face every time I went into the store.  That model is truly how all drugs should be sold.  Let you know whats in it and what was used to make it and how strong it is.
