Title: George Soros
Post by: DiCaprio on April 20, 2016, 02:41:22 PM
I dont know too much about the man, but I thought itd be cool to get a collective aspect on this and perhaps we can all learn more about one of the most influential men in the world. As a disclaimer I will say I tend to lean negative

I lean that way for several reasons:

1. Why has he donated more than half of the contributions to the Clinton campaign? I ask this because of Hillarys stance on the issue. When asked about receiving money from Soros she basically played like she just had a heat stroke and didnt know what was going on. So, ok. One of the most important men in the world gives you millions of dollars just for the fuck of it? You cant even tell us why? You cant even pretend to have an explanation?

2. He has been quoted as saying some crazy ass shit. As in, I dont want to hear shit like this from my neighbor let alone a top 30 wealthiest human being.  Heres one; "Insofar as there are collective interests that transcend state boundaries, the sovereignty of states must be subordinated to international law and international institutions.” Heres another ;" I admit that I have awlays harbored an exaggerated view of my self-importance-to put it bluntly, I fancied myself as some kind of God". And lastly ; " All we need is the right world crisis and the nations will accept our new world order". I dont know about you, but when your rocking 30 billion dollars and saying shit like that.....

If you believe in conspiracies you would think hes one of the leading persons trying to push the Coudenhove Kalergi plan. While trying to create a single central government.

He has made a lot of money through currency manipulation. Thailand called him an "economic war criminal". Many other countries try to distance themselves from him. I know Russia recently burned some of his books and proclaimed the Open Society Foundation ( his group) an undesirable group. Or something along those lines. But from what I read he has done good things also. I would love to hear what you guys think.

I think Soros is the largest private funder of drug policy reform and harm reduction on planet Earth.
What ever his failings we ALL owe him.

Yes,I'd make donations to drug policy reform to seed future markets for personal gain,BUT that doesn't explain his funding of essential harm reduction projects around the globe which can only be seen as genuine-pro bono publica.
As I say,WE ALL OWE the man

Compared to people like the Koch brothers, Soros is a flaming liberal. Rich people use their money to influence policies they care about, be it for greed or to do what they think is right. Because Soros is more liberal than most of them he is often vilified as the bogeyman by right wing talk radio.

And, we are moving toward a world government and always have been. Frankly it scares the shit out of me because it means fewer choices of how you want to live you life. Even a world government that started out good would still run by humans and therefor prone to corruption and misuse and without other governments to keep it in check the potential for total dystopia is huge.

KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.

Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.

KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.

Mr. SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.

KROFT: I mean, that's -- that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?

Mr. SOROS: Not -- not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don't -- you don't see the connection. But it was -- it created no -- no problem at all.

KROFT: No feeling of guilt?

Mr. SOROS: No.

KROFT: For example that, 'I'm Jewish and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there.' None of that?

Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I c -- I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn't be there, because that was -- well, actually, in a funny way, it's just like in markets -- that if I weren't there -- of course, I wasn't doing it, but somebody else would -- would -- would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the -- whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the -- I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.

Now, if I place myself in the shoes of a 14 year old Jewis boy that pretended to be Christian to escap persecution while confiscating items from other jews to survive, I feel like I would feel pretty guilty. I realise it came from the need to survive, but you pair the lack of empathy up with comments hes made about being a " God-like figure" and a pretty scary picture of his psychology starts to form. Maybe thats just me though. And not to mention the very negative view he has on much of what the western civilization stands for.

Hard to say. Most of us grow up worrying about paying the next bill or what have you. So a ton of our time is spent thinking about that or how to achieve that. If from day one I had all that extra space in my head to think about other things, plus it was paired with the notion that the world is mine in many ways, who knows what my mind state would be like. So, I guess maybe.

Yea I think we have to be careful as to not make an excuse for why it fucks up. Since so many important things are ran by humans. But I guess its just something that will never change. Humans will always lust for power hence very few things we create will ever be fair.

WE OWE SOROS????!!!!  LOL.
Soros want to disrupt the voting process in America. Why did he give $$$ to that lying skank Hillary? Anyone who could disrupt the voters, Soros is funding.
Do you want the people to vote or not vote? What do you want? What is it that you want? What is it that you stand for? Those of you who claim you stand for something, what do you stand for?

What? Manipulating people behind the scenes and cutting the people out?

That’s what brings about bloody revolutions in nations. Do you know that?

What was the vote in Iraq for? Was it not to give the people the right to vote?

Remember the purple fingers?

The radical  on the left burned Ferguson to the ground, almost burned Baltimore to the ground; all on false pretexts of police actions against black men.
It’s a lie; we know it’s a lie. It was a lie in Ferguson, it was a lie in Baltimore and, yet, the radical left exploits the lies, foments the masses and wants the city to burn, baby, burn. If we still had an active Congress that were prosecuting people for un-American activities, Soros would be first on the list=he spent 35 million in Ferguson trying to stir up trouble in Ferguson.  George Soros, who is an EVIL MAN, who has evil designs on this country, once said, he said he aspired to be the conscience of mankind. He knows that he’s a corrupt businessman who has caused a lot of pain and so he redeems himself by being the champion of the progressive future. That’s what it does for them. If you look at history you will see that all these ‘isms’—communism, socialism, Nazism—they all emerge after Darwin, that is after the decline of organized religion. They replace the religious vision of a redemption in the next life with a communist vision with a redemption in this life, and that is why they are so dangerous. Get it?????

That’s how they intimidate the middle class in this country.............

<<< and if you bought into the black lives matter, just watch this video by a black man.

@Wildcat What are the purple fingers? And when you speak of the " isms", is that something that scholars agree on or is it your opinion? I could see how a man would think hes greater than through a blood lineage. How he has the better genes and all...
