Let's Talk FOOTBALL (for the next 4 months)
« on: September 22, 2015, 08:15:38 AM »
Okay,

Its difficult for me to get into football (NCAA or NFL) until the weather gets a little colder, and we're just about there.

Its basically Week 2, so maybe I will be the first to toss-out my predictions for the SuperbOwl, and the best NCAA Team (this does NOT reflect my love or hate for any team mentioned).

Week 2:
* NFL: Morfy calls SuperbOwl will be:  New England  -vs-  Green Bay, NE wins
* NCAA: Morfy calls Michigan State and Ohio State will be ranked #2 and #1,

What are your Week 2 NFL predictions? What are your Week 2 NCAA predictions?
We can up-date our predictions every week, if we want to.  Maybe the one who calls the actual winners the soonest can receive a prize of some sort.

Foreigners can play too:

Daft Jimmy from Edinburgh says Manchester United will win the Euro-Football-Spangled-Demi-Continental Banner! (like the Super Bowl of Soccer)

We all know that all it takes is one play for a key player to get injured (looking your way Romo) for a good team to be fargled.

I would LOVE to see Cinci go far (maybe the team will slightly change their color to match Dalton's hair)--that would be awesome.

Tom calls a Bama OSU rematch but it all depends on were they get seated.

For MSU to get in the top 4 they would have the beat OSU in the second to last game of their season a OSU haves too many weapons. Plus the wont get into the extra championship game.

They really need to expand it to 6 games. First 2 b by week, and the other 4 play each other to get in. It wont mess with the academic. It schedules and could work!

My prediction is that a bunch of guys who really dont contribute anything usefull, substantial or of real meaning will get paid millions of dollars.

Society will continue down hill and a bunch of people still wont know what the tobin tax is, how the federal reserve works, or what a single payer health system is.  They will know that #2 ran for 800 yds total, had 10 td's and earned every penny of that 12 million.

aint that the truth.

does your SB prediction reflect one of your favorite teams? if not, who ya got?

the Bengals week 2 win was not an impressive one. They got the w yeah, but not comfortably in the least bit.
(but did you see A.J. Green toe tap out of the back of the end zone? Holy fuck ) Though even that was set up by the chargers muffed puting them on the 19 yard line.
I'm assuming it was because of all the double teams and the chargers secondary completely shutting him down , but A.J. Green was only thrown to 4 times. That just isnt going to cut it against better teams.

I have tickets for week 5 against the seahawks. so excited i might poop a rainbow.

 ;D

Yeah, and their mailboxes will have the Yellow Dot sticker on it, so when Martial Law is declared, and the FEMA camps are starting to fill-up with people who had Blue Dot stickers on their mailboxes, they would be left alone to continue to watch football & baseball.

Unfortunately, those people who DID know about the Tobin Tax (currency exchange tax), and the antics of the Fed Reserve or even that there is NO LAW requiring Americans to pay income tax to the IRS, only strong-armed tactics & lengthy jail sentences; THEY would not be alive long enough to wallow in their superior knowledge....

For upon THEIR mailboxes was a Red Dot sticker, which marked them for immediate termination.

The smell during the first two months was horrible, as the bodies of the "Red Dot Folk" lay smoldering out in the open, where they had fallen.  Even the "Yellow Dot Folks" who tried to transport or bury the dead were shot themselves by the Milipolice.

Soon, we all learned: what we could say, what we couldn't.  What we could do, and what we couldn't.  We even learned and perfected that new salute they wanted us to use--and done with great zeal, lest our neighbors tell the Milipo about our haphazard greeting....

Yes, we watch football: we complain when our team does poorly; we cheer with fake smiles when our team does well.

Its all we can do, to stay alive.  To stay unnoticed.

Did you see Detowelrack CincoSiete return that punt for a touchdown!!!

It was the greatest thing I've seen this year.

Crap, every single team I bet on over the weekend lost!

Seriously.

And now I've tied all of my loses, double or nothing to Kansas City winning over Green Bay! !!

I don't know enough to make predictions but:

PACKERS IN THE SUPERBOWL.   They are looking really good so far although I know season's still early.

What's up with all the gambling sites advertising their fantasy football stuff?  Am I the only one who thought that wasn't all legal?   Is anyone doing the online thing and if so, have you won $2million yet?  If yes, why are you reading this?

That is all.

Yup. That's generally how I feel about it too. Bread and Circuses Not only that but what was that stat they found? Post-Motems of pro football players showed 76 of 79 had brain injuries.

That being said, I do get how identifying with teams are a way to express regional pride which is great but ultimately theyare just big enterainment businesses that are pretty much completely irrelevant to anything important.

I confess, I had to look up the Tobin tax.

LSU kicked some ass this weekend
Go fighting tiger's

Did Green bay win I know the spread was five that's a little low for a packers home game. At the beginning of the week it was ten. Their WR is out but that spread just seemed low to me

I know morphy I cant find a bookie in New Orleans they are on every corner. I do have a weakness for betting on the games and usually can stay pretty even win it on the collage games and lose it on the pros. Miss that cheat sheet and the last minute calls to the bookies. Find it hard to keep interest in the games that I don't have a wager on.

Go Tiger's
Does any one know if the Michigan Ohio game tickets can be had at a reasonable price. If not I guess morphy is housing a viewing party at that bar by his house. We can do first down shots Jega and Nark for Ohio and me and morphy for Michigan.

By shots I mean alcohol unless noted otherwise
