i wonder what everyone's age is ?
purely voluntary for my own interest.

Chipper is early 50's-ish, he's said on here and the phile several times in recent memory.
Me: earlymid-40-something-ish.
But I have the mind of a 16 year-old...and some other aspects of my personality are way off too, age-wise.

Yes, it is indeed a thing. Been telling my daughter "I'm older than dirt" for years. She finally got old enough to figure out my DOB is on my drivers license. Little turd lol. I'm perpetually 30 ;)

I'm 42 with a birthday coming up but no one believes me when I tell them I'm a fossil. I don't really care that I'm "old" now bc I'm just surprised to still be alive!

I'm 27 and have pictures of the EGK's that i've shown to prove it lol.
And corpus striatum was totally correct! The one i had last night looked "Ok" but I could see the errors and I'm not a cardiologist.
Not as bad as the one that screamed possible sinus node dysfunction, but it wasn't textbook perfect.
If You're qualified always read your ekg's yourself!

Hey Jega so glad it's not as bad as it seemed at first! Your vitals were...eyebrow raisers! I hope you're doing ok & getting the care you need.
Yes, if possible read or when possible get EKG's double checked. There are several "typical" rhythms, some absolutely benign but others like yours, not. When I was in college, computers weren't widely used like now, but I wonder if sample EKG's are a available for free online? It's not that hard to learn what a normal sinus strip etc looks like. There's a lot of smart people here who could easily learn the basics--just like EMTs do.
***(Of course, always, always have what you think you see confirmed by an MD for safety sake because errors caused by artifact or human mistakes aren't uncommon).
I really don't like the student doctor site, but maybe I'll see if I can find something there. I know there are CEU's (continuing education units) that have them, but they're not free in my state. Maybe Candy or Zoops have some info or links?

Regarding being old:
I don't look 35, at least IMO. But I'm going to start telling people I'm 34 simply b/c I think it's good form to lie about your age at a certain point if you're a woman or gay. ;)

Lol ^^ +1 can't speak to the gay thing but, thanks for the laugh Nark! my "oh crap" wakeup call, was hearing a bunch of kindergartener's' comparing notes about how old their parents were & KNOWING how many years I'd be hearing "you're so old!" Figured I'd get ahead of 'em, by saying I'm older than dirt lol. Plus, I'll fess up here: the warm water of denial thing works for me & I'm gonna borrow your 'it's good form' reason if that's ok with you?

Well - one VERY good thing about being "old" is that you might get yourself one of these wonderful little gifts (the first grandbaby!) Let's see if I'm not too old to figure out uploading to imgur. ETA : Guess you have to click the link? Next time I'll try a different way ... Edited again to add - used a different link (message board type;duh) and it imbedded! I wouldn't normally post a pic of my much loved granddaughter but this is a small community and there's no identifying info so .. . .

I am 46, going to be 47 on Sept. 8th. I don't feel or look my age ( thank's mom for your good genes).
I may be getting older, but I still feel sexy and beautiful.
I learned not so long ago that feeling beautiful is about how you feel inside. Feeling sexy is about how you feel inside.
Of course my man makes me feel that way as well, but it is really about how I feel about myself.
I stopped caring long ago what people think about my outside appearance. Who are they to say what is beautiful or attractive.
So strut your stuff and don't let anyone make you feel you are not good enough.
Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder!

yep, a bunch of oldies alright - which is why there's at least a board for Geriatrics ... that should suffice.
yeah, older than i thought but that should turn out to be a good thing - old people are cooler.

56 going on 25. I do feel years that years of drug addiction stunted my *maturity* and *adulthood*. I just don't look at life the way most people my age do. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, it can lead to problems in relationships etc.

I look like I'm in my late 20s (at least my face does), I feel emotionally and psychologically like I'm 30, and I feel physically like I'm 70.
