Title: Long overdue Full Blood Count, Hep-B, HCV, HIV tests, Liver and Kidney tests etc
Post by: Chip on December 09, 2014, 07:30:36 PM
about 3 years ago, I stabbed myself on a mate's syringe whilst i was clearing away equipment (so nobody gets hurt ... except me  :'()

he cleared HCV a few years ago ... but I'm still worried.

Blood Draw, next Wednesday (19th.) 3-4 pm.

I'm worried because IF I can barely get a vein,  how can they ? in the past, there have been awkward draws as they struggle !

I say, the feet it is.
truly worried.
... but come what may ...

blood draw failed - blood too thick (used the foot).

note to self: next time don't use d-meth the day before !

and always drink lots of water (2 L?) a few hours prior.

no stims for a week and the blood draw (foot) was a go-er.

yay! now, we wait for the results ... with some degree of trepidation, i have to confess ...

am i sick or what ? (feel good but one never knows ...)

the results are in: all clear and normal ... and i'm also immune to Hep-B.

36 years of IV use and this needle stick was from a bi-guy (ex Hep-C carrier).

how lucky am I ?

I feel equipped to preach HR with full confidence now.

BTW, I am glad that i have an injecting policy of "never above the arms, nor below the waist" - I urge you to adopt that policy if you are an IVDU.
