Rod Bridge went to China to learn the truth about the synthetic drug trade
WHEN his teenage son died after taking the synthetic version of LSD, Rod Bridge was devastated.
Preston, 16, fell to his death in 2013 after consuming the drug and thinking he could fly.
Ever since, Mr Bridge has been determined to let no other Australian families suffer a similar tragedy. His quest to find out the origins of synthetic drugs took him to China.
His story airs on 60 Minutes at 8.30pm on Nine tonight.
Reporter Liz Hayes accompanied Mr Bridge on his mission abroad.
“In essence it’s a father’s journey to get answers, and what he found is pretty confronting.”
She said Mr Bridge couldn’t “sit still knowing his son won’t be the last victim”.
That tragic story featured in a 60 Minutes report two years ago but since then he “felt compelled to seek answers” about where the drugs came from and how easily they entered Australia.
“I guess what he found was that most, not all — but most, roads lead to China. It’s an extraordinary place for these drugs because they’re legal there.”
That was possible due to the fact they came under the label of ‘research chemicals’. However, Hayes told news.com.au: “We couldn’t find much research, but certainly found a lot of chemicals.”

I'm guessing the kid probably took AL-LAD? It's weird that they use actual LSD as a precursor to make a drug similar to LSD. Why not just do LSD? Kids these days, I tell ya!

I think countries around the world are gonna gang up against china's research chemical sales industry until they are pressed hard enough to stop, which would suck, cuz alot of what they make can help people if taken responsibily. But when these chemicals are brand new analogs who the fuck knows the outcome. I just like the freedom of ordering at the moment but i bet thats gonna change real soon...

I would guess AL-LAD too but it's only a guess. And the shit works. The kids are onto something.

25i-nbome was sold to me as "LSD with a catalyst"...Made my mouth numb, and had a bitter taste I could taste throughout the trip. Had full blown visuals 15 mins after dosing, back to baseline 6 hours later.
Was the most visual long lasting hallucinogen I've ever done.(DMT and salvia being short lasting examples)
Turns out the guy just ordered a bunch of nbome tabs online and lied to everyone saying it was LSD with a bitter catalyst that made it kick in faster, and made the trip more intense, with a trade off of being a little shorter in duration.
I could tell it wasn't like LSD I'd had before, lacked the euphoria, less music appreciation, vasoconstriction, also had weird electrical heart/body zaps. The visuals didnt seem to morph the objects I was looking at either(like acid), rather a kaleidoscopic visual was placed over them.
Upon researching this "catalyst" I've never heard of, I came to the conclusion it was really just 25i-nbome.
Fuck LSD analogues.
Ill just stick with real LSD.
BUT I STILL WANT THE OPTION TO BUY THEM....because ma freedoms!!

Oh man. Anyone here every try 2c-p? I was dosed 20mg at Bonnaroo one year. 24 hours of holy shit, and I'm an experienced psychonaut.
I feel bad for people who get tabs with DOx on it and trip for 2 days. That shit will break your mind.
And good god I miss mephedrone and especially 4-mec.
