With all the negative effects a person on ambien can face (to many stories to tell), can someone with any experience on this drug please chime in. Besides the awful taste it, lunesta 1.5 mg,seems to work but this is with h.

Lunesta works great for me. The metallic taste is kind of a drag, but I'll take that over sleep deprivation every time.
If Lunesta wasn't so fucking $$$ ten years ago, I probably wouldn't have gotten hooked on Temazepam, cos I knew better at the time, but I was fucking desperate.
It's a lot like Ambien. Zopiclone has been around a long time..

Sorry Opus I should have explained better.I have been doing heroin which helps me sleep alot, so when taking the lunesta I really do not know how much it helps. Thanks for your input on your experience. Just wanted to hear opinions on lunesta compared to ambien or the sleep meds. I have an awful time sleeping when sober. I really believe if I could get a good sleeping pattern with no drugs I would love that. But for now its heroin then when im out Benzos and lunesta or whatever else.

I hear you on the sleep issues, lifelong problem for me and it runs on both sides of my family, so I was fucked from the gate.
Ya IMO they're about equal, Lunesta might work a little better for me unless the ambien is CR or a big dose. Also I've never heard of people like sleep eating and shit on Zopiclone or EsZopiclone, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen - seems like ambien is much more widely prescribed.
I'm sure you've heard it before but be careful mixing dope and sleeping pills yo, could easily be the last thing you do if not super careful..

You can handle the metallic taste? I tried it for a couple weeks when it first came out years ago, made most things horrible.

Ya it's far from ideal, but years of chronic sleep deprivation has made me extremely sensitive to it -- it's like I've lost any sort of reserve or tolerance for shitty sleep and it really fucks with me. So I'll take a few hours of weird taste over a bad night's sleep anytime.

Corlene hell yeah that is the worst tasting shit but for sleep regularly id eat way worse.
Yeah Opus I eat crazy as hell on this, about the same as on benzos. It does seem like I wake up every few hrs on lunesta, while in the past when I went to sleep on just heroin I slept for 6 hours. Now after 7 yrs of heroin I need somwthing else to go to sleep.
Thanks for the help, I know to respect this drug just like benzos.

Has anyone tried Belsomra / Suvorexant for sleep? I've been curious about it since seeing the commercials. I'm wondering how it compares to Ambien, Lunesta, and especially benzos.

The last time I used ambien I was fucking stupid, that was the last time I will ever touch those fuckers. I used to use them in excess but not for a few years. And now I remember why. Now I take temazepam and don't have the desire to stay awake and try to enjoy some sort of high. That is the biggest difference for me. Ambien truly scares me now.

Yeah benzos got me in a bad spot for a minute as well. I thank god I was able to pull my head out of my ass in time to not fuck thing up any more than I did
