Title: Gamma‐butyrolactone (GBL) Critical Review Report (PDF)
Post by: Chip on February 23, 2017, 03:54:18 AM
Gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) - World Health Organization PDF

at www.who.int

the best data on GBL I have found yet. Google the bolded text above or download and open the attachment below.

for those of you that have not used this drug and wondered about its effects, the following was quoted:

Quote
... the authors concluded that the profile of effects of GHB in subjects with drug abuse histories: “... partially overlaps with that of triazolam and pentobarbital ..."

the drug has noticeable euphoric and emphathogenic properties at the right dose, probably why it is called "liquid-x" but plateauing on that dose for long is impossible and finding that sweet spot is very hard due to the unpredictable purity levels as most is sourced from the "street" and everybody can't resist cutting/watering it down.

fyi, Australia has the harshest laws and states that:

GBL is a border controlled substance and is illegal to import into Australia without a permit. The importation of a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug
(over 1 kg of GBL) is punishable by up to life imprisonment and/or an $825,000 fine.

scary, isn't it ? worst case scenario, though.

G is nowadays an underground thing here and there are only small groups of people pursuing now, from what I can tell.

Australian laws can ruin your life if you are the wrong sort of person and exhibit socially-violent and contemptible tendencies BUT if your motives are not primarily criminal then the authorities can be lenient and considerate.

it's on a case by case basis.

at least that's how I think it works - or how it should work ... it is probably about how many people could be harmed by your actions, to what degree and if there is any financial motivation (greed).
