An oldie but a goodie ~ "May your home always be too small to hold all of your friends." Erin go bragh, yeh filthy animals.

I don't have a drop of Irish blood in me, but my mother, her husband and a family friend are going to the VFW tonight for their annual St. Patty's day corned beef and cabbage dinner.
It will be good.

Everyone's Irish today! Yea that meal started passing around my family last weekend so while I love it....we will most likely not be eating it tonight lol But this is the first time I didn't take off on Patty's day and I will be stone cold sober. Shit is weirddd.

ate some festively green kratom and green loperamide pills
then smoked some weed
GREEN
i like that word, and color, a lot
anyways I will possibly attempt to go out and have a Guinness later
but I think I'm much more inclined to stay in and wallow in sickness
and the curse that befalls all irish in the southern U.S., burned to a crisp skin
being entirely of irish ancestry, my skin goes from clear to blue to pink to the color of the sun itself

God, I worked one St. Patrick's Day in Philly, getting done at 3:00pm. I had to go through Suburban-15th to get home and blimey it was a nightmare. The place was packed beyond capacity with suburbanites who'd been drinking on the SEPTA ride, maybe earlier, and were already trashed.
I got caught in the human throng for about 45 minutes before I gave up on getting a train and fought my way up to the street to try my luck with a bus. Most of them didn't mind being stuck there, since they'd brought their cases of Miller Lite cans with them, and were just continuing to share their beers and drink them until they got to wherever they were going.
So, slainte!
EDIT: And boy I love Irish corned beef and cabbage, it's damn good.
-
@Roman Totale Yea I've been there done that, unless your partaking in the fun then it can be a drag. Slainte to you, just wish I had a drink to toast. Buttt im working.

I've never subscribed to the notion that you need to be Irish to celebrate SP's Day.
It's funny, sometimes I don't feel that I'm Irish or English, just caught in the middle somewhere. I'm both and neither at the same time.

A little late to the party but I see someone saved a pint for me...
Hey FP, don't see you enough

Likewise. I just don't seem to get here as often as I'd like to. Plus I've had a wicked cold this past week.
