Title: How Somebody Tapered Off Methadone With Almost No Withdrawal Or Pain (video)
Post by: Chip on September 29, 2019, 08:18:40 AM
EDIT: As an old hand at the MMT taper (4 times), I used to jump off MMT starting from 80+ mg to 300 micrograms and did mine around from 2 years at the longest (last successful one) to 4 months (relapsed a few months later) ~ the moral of that experience is that the slower the better; less chance of relapse and time for your mind at accept it.

I used Meth and Phenibut to stretch out those final last few weeks but i do not recommend in doing so as that because I "vice traded" to Meth and GABAergics & Alcohol (which I am still negotiating with a modicum of success).

Why did I (Chip) decide to stop ?

I simply ran out of venous real estate through decades of shooting Methadone + Amphetamine. I drew the line at my neck and groin and after messing up my palms, that left only my feet; I got abscesses on both feet and then said "Fuck this !" as soon as I got off the IV drip, looking conspicuously like i felt, I hobbled from hospital and running late to the clinic.

I wanted my physical health and liberty back. I was done.

FYI, I have been off opiates/opioids for almost 3 years now.
