300 year old food forest in Vietnam ...so cool.
« on: December 12, 2015, 01:47:44 PM »
This video is so cool, and there's other food forests found in other parts of the world as well. All types of fruits and veggies, spices and herbs ...

The only thing missing is a little poopy field...I would love to live in that little shack in the middle of the forest...

I hope that this isn't just in our past ...

I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here. "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs."
"I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking."
"Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!"
"Shut up! Go back to bed, America. Your government is in control."-BH

Wow St. T-

Really cool vid-I was there a few years ago, and it is beyond beautiful-and cant walk off due to so many live land mines-but what a place, explored some ancient ruins too.

This reminds me of a documentary I saw last year. Apparently much of the Amazon rain forest was like this prior to European contact. The indigenous peoples kept large portions of the rain forest tended and in check. With European contact came disease and persecution that reduced the population to such an extent that it was no longer able to maintain such a food garden / forest.

Hey wow, that's far fucking out, Wildcat. What occasioned your trip to Vietnam? I'd love to go there someday too. Maybe get me a little mama-san and bring her back to the states, so that she could live out her Cinderella story.

I went to VN five times in the last ten years, very close to ex-gf's extended family. While walking they often find edibles and seasonings growing.
I go @ NewYear's / dry season so not wet like in movies, reminds me of Panama. VN has pretty beaches plus moutains in Da Lat (5000 ft. alt). It was not "buggy" like I expected.
I think of mines, but I walk all over the place anyway.
Her family is large, they translate/haggle/guide/transport for me, I sleep at their homes when not on a trip within VN. I am with several of them most of the time so I feel secure.
