Title: WARNING (WV): Rash of WV ODs May Indicate Fent Being Sold as Gear
Post by: Dhedmo on August 25, 2016, 12:09:27 PM
At work w/o much time to post, but the title is really the story.

It's not just WV, but they had over 20 ODs in 4 hrs. a couple days ago.

Be careful: this is becoming more than a WV problem.

Just about a week ago, i had to hear the news/newspaper in northeast ohio talking about how they are finding either carfentanyl or sufentanyl in dope now.  The opiates they use on shit like elephants.  Be careful with new dope people

Here's an LA Times article about it. It happened on Monday.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-west-virginia-overdoses-20160817-snap-story.html

Quote
The calls didn’t stop. All afternoon, ambulances, police officers and firefighters began crisscrossing the city, responding to reports of more than two dozen men and women overdosing -- in homes, in a gas station bathroom, at a Family Dollar store, in a Burger King parking lot, slumped behind the wheel in traffic on the West 17th Street Bridge. Others appeared at the hospital.

Quote
From 3:21 p.m. to 8:33 p.m., officials responded to calls for 26 overdose victims, almost all of them in Huntington

Quote
On Monday night, officials responded to what they didn’t initially realize was their 27th call, a Huntington man who died after being taken to the hospital. A relative reported that the man had been suffering a seizure, and did not mention that he was an addict

Quote
The next day, officials found another body outside city limits, that of a man who had been in recovery from addiction and who had probably overdosed Monday

Sounds like they were able to save almost all of them though:

Quote
But given the scale of the crisis that had unfolded, those were the only two deaths. For that, Huntington likely has naloxone to thank.

If that's accurate, that's amazing. This is harrowing. Be careful! You can always do more, you can't do less.

Yup. I was worried about Zoops, because when I posted he last logged in Mon, but I see he signed in today.

If you know some WV opis, check in on em.
And unless you have that IVFent supertolly, be CAREFUL what you do!

Prince, who had fent experience according to multiple sources (including a dealer), had a bunch of counterfeit hydro that was really fent. So, no matter where you live, if you buy pills on the street, be aware.

I believe this is designed to create a market of addicts with really high tolerance, all the casualties be damned. You run up a high IV fent habit, gear won't do shit. You think heroin has a captive market?

It's pure evil, what they're doing.

Good job getting the warning out so quickly.

To think that our forum has the potential to save lives makes it all worthwhile.

Holy shit! From the article holladimsum posted:

Quote
Now, police are confirming that 17 people were poisoned by fentanyl, and an additional three died from drug overdoses last week. Four of the 17 remain hospitalized.

Those who survived the overdoses confirmed that they thought they were buying cocaine, not heroin, and most had never taken opiates and were not ready for the impact such drugs can have.

Selling fent as heroin is fucked up but selling fent to people expecting cocaine??? I've seen Pulp Fiction. That's not a mix-up you want to make. It's one thing to try to get opiate users hooked on stronger stuff. But this? They're just out there murdering people.
