16GB-520GB USB Flash drive?
« on: October 04, 2015, 05:28:07 AM »
There is no specific "Tech" session, but what would like to know what you do with their 16GB-520GB USB Flash drive? I use mine for different versions of Linux and endeavor to have a Windoes XP (No service packs that require authentication). I Have a 16BM that runs Linux already although I admit I am not the expert on it. It runs Tails although I never use the dark web. I have debian and found the interface unfamiliar as well.

My head drive on my laptop is dying and while I can boot to USB I'd like to have the backup.

What would you put on a large USB drive? I use large external Hard Drives for bulk data backup.

music. DJ's need large USB sticks to take to their gigs.

bootable systems for many tools, could work.

I forget how much technology has moved forward - that's huge for a flash drive.

Backups of sites I'm working on until I can get a new HDD.

Primary use is storing movie files (pirated) for use on my TV USB interface.

I've never really used USB Flash Drives much.  I had a very small one given to me so I could keep my resume and cover letters on it.  Have no idea where it is now.

I'd love to have a 1T or 3T drive for backup storage.  Preferably Apple's version with built-in wifi and streaming capabilities.

I do have a 160GB iPod classic that can be used as a USB Flash Drive for storage, but it's currently filled with music, TV shows, and movies.  I don't really wanna erase / reformat it in case I ever need to restore lost media on iTunes.

And of course I have blank CDs and DVDs.
