The" placebo effect" is strong with that one.
Ive personally seen people buy fake dope, go home, sniff it, then later that night come back to buy more. Same thing with pills that were sold as oxy.
Now these werent everyday addicts that were dopesick or nothin, but people who have done opiates plenty of times, but didnt have a habit or used daily. Theres no way someones gonna be sick, go cop, shoot it, and imagine a rush/get well. But the more you believe youre high/gonna be high, the higher youll really feel.

My roommates sister was looking for shrooms for her and a friend for this party. apparently she was having no luck because she called her brother to see if he could find them. I'm not sure if he did it to just be a dick or what, but he went to the grocery store, bought a little plastic container of mushrooms, which looked absolute nothing like the real deal, and cut them up/put them in the oven to sorta crisp them so they looked somewhat dried out. dumped them in a baggie and sold them to her for like 60 bucks.
Not only did she come over the next day ranting and raving about how much fun they had on the shrooms, but they wanted to buy more for the 2nd night.
I guess his conscience caught up with him a bit because he told her he couldnt get anymore.
but yeah, placebo is funny.

taytoe, that reminds me of the time i spent all day and MUCH driving to collect all the magical mushies i could find... i got heaps of them.
... BUT then i forgot to dry them and they ALL went rotten, as i found out too late :(

When I was like 13, me and my friends wanted some weed but couldn't find any... I don't think we had actually even smoked any real weed before. So, we rolled up some grass, literally grass, in paper, like paper paper, to smoke it. I dont really remember why but I do remember I used to get good grades back then. Good grades mean you're very smart.
There were 4 of us. 2 of us went outside to smoke first and then came back in to report. Before coming in, my friend said "let's pretend like we got high". So we did. Of course we had never been high so we were just acting like dumbasses over exaggerating. Then my friend says "I was just pretending, I didn't get high". I try to say the same thing but no one believes me lol and I'm left looking like I retard... of course the friend whose idea it was doesn't say anything. Simpler times...

back in high school my brother didn't smoke
but would still come over and hang out
we would make apple pipes, gravity bongs from plastic bottles
even the little bong made out of a 16oz water bottle and a pen tube
we made one of those last ones out of a 1/2 gallon OJ container
we had stopped at a fast food place right before getting back to my friends place
while were smoking weed, my brother comes outside with a Pirouline cookie and lights it up like a cigar
to everyones surprise he was able to smoke the cookie with some success
then he takes a seasoned curl fry and stick it into the hole for the bowl in our homemade bong
which also smoked really, really well
we were all so high we thought it was the greatest/funniest thing ever
this time also spawned the great use of "eating out" a la "smoke out"
"Next time you come over I will totally eat you out for all the good snacks you gave me today"
"Hey dude I'm hungry, can you eat me out?"
(Everyone present that day was an honor grad, myself included)
