my method of careful drug taking to mitigate addiction
« on: October 15, 2017, 03:45:35 PM »
yep, I log every drug I take and at what time.

if I space and taper various drugs then I feel that a documented history is about ownership.

weekly stimulant usage.
spaced GABAergics (alcohol included)
tapered Opiods fallout from pain control
tapered and spaced Olanzapine (neuro-protectant to offset any stimulant receptor damage)

... but it's the legal cigarettes that may kill me.

anybody else log their usage ?

No but I may start. I really need to find a way to moderate as I’m not willing or really able to do the whole abstinence thing, but I really don’t wanna get into a shitty situation again. I’d have to do it in my phone or something cuz I can’t have my parents finding a list with various  drugs that I’ve used lying around hahaha.

When I tapered my 800 pound gorilla down to nothing over the last year. I had to for accountability. It was probably the thing that helped the most to get clean. Even tapering and then getting stable before moving to a lower dose I still had restless leg so bad that my hips, legs, knees and lower back fucking ached like the mother bitch. I logged all of that too. When ever I had anxiety and panic attacks I also logged that as.well. it's crazy to read what was going through my head when I first cut my dose as compared to 3 or 4 weeks later when I was stable on it.

I don't plan on being a daily user anymore. To much fucking baggage to deal with. I have used a small amount 2 times over the last 2 months and I honestly don't feel the pull I used to feel. Chipper posted an article about people at some point will grow out of that sort of thing, I'm thinking it happened to me. I won't be logging my occasional use and I don't log any of my ganja use. Logging and writting.down your.thoughts are.a.great fucking.tool, even if.you.just.write fuck you for 5 strait pages.

I've always been of the opinion that people do, indeed, 'grow out' of their addictions, and that there is often no use in forcing people into treatment etc. - it was only later on that I began to see articles saying exactly the same thing.

Im still kind of young. Do any of our older members notice this same phenomenon with their addictions? Did you eventually get bored? Or grow out of it to another addiction?
