Title: can someone please help me with my current suboxone issue?
Post by: skramamme on February 16, 2016, 01:54:45 AM
I am usually on suboxone but had a little lapse for a week or so. Anyway, I last used on Friday and it is Monday now (here in Oz). Now, I had a full blown habit on subs in the past and always successfully took my subs around 12-24 hours later at the chemist but this seems to not be the case this time.

IDK what's going on. Every time I take say 1mg of subs I start to feel sick but I can't possibly have any heroin remaining after 3 days so wtf is happening? I am trying to figure out if I am hanging out because I should be taking my usual 8-12mg but I am scared to take more than what I have in case it promotes precipitated withdrawals.

Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I had some minor precipitated withdrawal yesterday but woke up feeling fine, so I assumed my subs had taken over so I had the couple of mg but started feeling a it shivery and restless...

And now I'm sick with 100's of mg of subs and being too scared to take 2mg.
I just emptied the change jar to get petrol to see my dealer tonight but I really would rather just take my subs because I don't want my lapse to turn into a full blown relapse (and it's on the verge).

You are just taking the strips under your tongue right? No chance of cotton fever or anything right? I assume so. That being the case one or two mg won't cover your withdraw symptoms. Yes less is more but that's once you have them built up and aren't withdrawing from anything else. The first day back to subs I have had to take anywhere from double to quadruple my maintenance dosage to get enough in my system to hold me over then I cut back to a tiny dose after a few days.

Thanks, I guess I need to take more. Now I just have to fight the desire to wait until my dealer turns his phone on and spend my last $100

When I do subs I find that I have to do about 4 mgs to start and then to like 2 for a couple of days and then I can get to where 1 will hold me.
I don't like subs because they do fuck all for mental relief and sometimes I can't stand my skin.
Methadone was a better option because of the actions.
I have been doing seeds for the past two months. They to me are the best, well heroin is the best but me and HeAd's habits were getting way out of hand. I never thought that I could go from 2 grams a day to seeds,be t I did I really urge you to try to find some decent ones. I really wish I would have done this a few years ago. I would have never tried subs or methadone I still get heroin about once a week. Up until this past week things were actually looking up.  But It's a relief not to have to go out and score every day. Waiting on some one. We are sticking with the seeds I just need to stop the benzodiazepines.
You really should try seeds if you can get a constant supply.
Ok now I will stop cyber stalking you.
Get better

i go through the exact same thing. and he was right just up the dose, my maint dose is 2mg but after a little binge i take 4mg. from what i gather online, the bupe knocks the d.o.c off your receptors and replaces it. so you need a bigger dose to clean up. i am on my last 100 and am fiddling with my phone

Seems to me like there's a honeymoon period with bupe.  At first it was nothing to either switch back & forth or to just stay on a small dose (2mg or less) and use on top of that.  It got harder & harder for me to transition back to bupe, eventually gave up trying to make it work.  Hope you get more use out of the stuff than I did.

Thanks, but I ended up going back on to methadone because it was getting too hard to juggle taking my prescribed pain killers and subs- I would normally skip my subs the day before an 8 hour shift so I could use my IR morphine for pain relief if needed but it just got too complicated.

My Dr said it would either have to be subs at a higher dose with no morphine, or lower dose methadone with morphine for bad pain days (I only get 20 x 30mg morphine, so it doesn't last long).

Even though my GP is a pain doctor and he's been great, the health dept have been on him about still prescribing me morphine as I am an ~ex junkie~ (because god forbid I get any sort of euphoria along with pain relief- physical dependency only girl!).

So he's referred me to a Pain Center with the hopes of getting their backing to getting me off methadone and putting my on either daily slow release morphine or possibly even weaning off the 'done and just taking the IR morphine when required. Or at least still being able to get my methadone and morphine without my Dr copping flack for it.

A second pain specialist chiming in will basically give my Dr more freedom to prescribe me what he thinks I should have.

Got my fingers crossed
