The Palm and the Pain
« on: March 17, 2015, 08:30:50 AM »
well, i finally am giving the palms of my hands a very thorough going over visually BUT get this, i can shoot a 5 ml. x 26G 1/2" MD into the tiny veins in my palms.

you can't try the same area for more than 3 times otherwise the PAIN is not worth the hassle to endure.

this is a good example that demonstrates the immense drive of using drugs and addiction, too. it CONSUMES you.

call me nuts, but i feel such a happy feeling when i feel i have mastered the syringe BEYOND the level of a regular doctor's venipuncture skills ...
another hook, but then that's at the core.

... now back to unseen vein in thumbs, very usable.

slowly, gently, poke-a-bit, total concentration.

I had a great little vein in my palm I used to use and it did hurt like hell, but as you said, I was driven by my drug use.
I also used to use my feet. Not the tops of my feet, but the inner arch and boy did that hurt badly. With a lot of patience and
going very slow, I managed not to blow any veins, but they were tiny and worked in a pinch.

Now that is some dedication...

I have great veins and I still can't imagine ever attempting to inject in the PALM.  It's not even like anything "pops" up when tying off either.  Too many nerves and tendons that can be hit.  Not to mention the thick skin that the palm possesses.  It's got bad news written all over it.  Imagine getting an abscess in your hand.  You can really fuck something up permanently.  I highly suggest avoiding IV attempts in the palms.

Damn, that's hardcore.  I think Palm shots are even more taboo than the jugular....

Yes, Saint T. - i cannot recommend using either the palm or the sole - those bits are needed for walking and doing stuff.

i'm just amazed at how i went there regardless ... it says a lot about what the IV trip is really all about, eventually.

having said that. i have now stopped injecting - it's oral Opiates and vapourised d-Meth, Nicotine, Pot and anything that can be atomised.

I would never suggest using the palm to anyone. It was something I did
when I was out of veins. It hurts like hell and it could cause many problems, but
when you are out of options and sick, you will do what it takes to get well.

It has been quite a while since I have even injected, so this is not an issue for me anymore, but
I am sure there are many others who have done the same thing.

This topic will surely help those who want to try shooting into the palm. If you miss,
it is a nightmare, not to mention the pain. Even with an insulin syringe,
it is still quite painful.

Sharing information, that is the key!

God damn. I'm glad I'm in good company, having shot drugs into veins in my palm before too. Some pretty nice exquisite pain right therrr.

The other day, I found a PIPE of a vein in my right leg lower shin area. Runs along the edge of the tibia. Fuckin' garden hose status.

Shot once into it - niiiice. Have to lie down then put the leg up to get the goodness to reach my brain though.

Wow im not alone..... I used my palm today and its not the first time :-( and Ive also used the bottom arch of my feet like Candy said... oh my god the pain with that is killer and you gotta go VERY slow. My jugulars are both gone and everything else. Only thing ive NEVER got the balls to do was go for my femoral...

Anyone have any tips for other places. 10yrs shooting Dilaudid and other stuff because of my RX has just shot everything I got by 30yrs old. I do all the excercising, showers, etc and still I need ALOT of pokes to ever get and IV shot. Ive never seen anything in my legs ever. My feet tops and ankles are done for too. Any ideas??? Or is the femoral really all I got left? It is just so damn dangerous going in blind because of the artery right there. I can tell the difference in blood color usually but if its nasty Black Tar which is rare I won't be able to see the different blood colors in that mess.
